Reddit Threads - DIY Konoha

While conducting research for my fic series “reasonable” (which has a heavy emphasis on politics and the machinations of an up-and-coming dictator), I’ve been taking into account other people’s interpretations and thoughts as found on the subreddit r/narutofanfiction

How would you design a competent Konoha council?

Users in this thread brought up interesting ideas, including the people who should be involved in the council such as the head of the merchant guild, civilian law enforcement, public relations, the red light district etc. 

Another user brought up the odd lack of representatives and physical influences from the Daimyo in the village.

Another went into the duties of the kage and their councils and included this link.

Is no one bothered by the leaf's security???

I saved one comment in particular on this thread about Konoha’s security (the thread itself is mostly comments from people pointing out that Konoha’s security wasn’t actually that bad, they were just facing S-rank threats with insider knowledge).

This user had an idea that incorporated the mysticism of a village ‘hidden in the x’ and the history of Konoha and the Senju. Essentially, the forests around Konoha are very difficult to navigate unless you are from Konoha, drawing inspiration from places like the Lost Woods in Zelda and “the elven concept of Iron Wood”.
