“Okay, but,” Arthur says, frowning at Eames, because he’s always frowning at Eames, “that’s not what you were supposed to do.”

“Yes,” Eames explains patiently, “but, darling, sometimes things do not go according to plan and then you have to improvise.”

“So you improvised kissing me?”

“Yes. It was important to the plan.” Eames peers out over the edge of the rooftop they’re standing on. He says, “We’re going to have to jump.”

“Not so fast. I’m not done having a conversation about—”

Which is when Eames kisses him again. And simultaneously flings both of them off the roof.

i am large, i contain multitudes (of media opinions)

genuinely though, I don't like... consider ship stuff to be a different media opinion from whatever I've got. Every ship is good and every ship is bad and every interpretation of every ship has some sort of merit, because like, that's not the meat of it for me. But if you roll up and try and talk to me about like, how Last Stand of the Wreckers is a great story about how you can't ever really trust someone no matter how long you've known them and Overlord is the most honest representation of that theme in the story, I will look at you like you have three heads. (This is not a real example. this is something I made up because I wanted a potentially-plausible-but-completely-incomprehensible position to refute.)

except like now that i've said that, I would want to talk to that person so badly. I would want to study their theories under a microscope. not even in a "to see their flaws" way just. i would be so CURIOUS! I wouldn't be arguing with them, I would be sending the eyes emoji in the chat every three seconds because when someone has an actual takeaway outside of the transformative sense that I just cannot see in any way and are willing to have a normal conversation about it I am always just so fucking fascinated, lmao.
