as an ambitious girly girl, sometimes i get overwhelmeed and worked up. when i get like that i like to have comfort days where i can just reset and focus on me. i've already talked about how important scheduling time for rest is, but here's how i like to have days that just feel comforting...💬🎀
WATCH A COMFORT MOVIE ;
i love watching movies! especially movies from the 90s and early 2000s. some of my favorite comfort movies are the princess diaries, the house bunny, cinderella 1997, clueless etc. while im watching the movie, i like to watch on the actual tv instead of my macbook.
i like to watch the movies on the tv because you can't have multiple tabs open on a tv, so i'm less likely to get distracted. bcuz idk about you but lowk having too many tabs open at once gets me stressed out. there's something homey and warm about the tv so i just curl up on the couch and watch my movie.
DRINK SOMETHING WARM ;
💕 warm chamomille tea with honey
💕 almond milk and honey
💕 hot matcha
💕 hot chocolate with marshmallows
A TEDIOUS SELF CARE RITUAL ;
self care is quite literally one of my hobbies, and i know it seems vain but doing a tedious self care ritual literally BREATHES life into me! doing meticulous routines is literally how i say "i love you" to me. and my routines are tailored to my specific needs at that time. for example if my skin is a little dull, i do my tedious skincare ritual. i'm sharing one of my in depth body routines.
💕 drink a tall glass of water with a bit of ice
💕 put some micellar water on your cotton pad and wipe your face. i love doing this, even if i wasn't wearing makeup because it gets the first layer of gunk off ur face
💕 glycolic acid wiped underneath ur arms to help with hyperpigmenation and elimination of odor. the glycolic acid i use has some witch hazel in it which also helps with odor elimination
💕 face icing to depuff and refresh myself
💕 shaving
💕 wash face with my cleanser, i use the cetaphil cleanser and its so simple and works so good
💕 tongue scraping, flossing, brushing my teeth and finishing off with some mouthwash
💕 then i use a sheet mask, and i like to add a bit of serum to the sheet mask
💕 double cleanse in the shower
💕 rub some serum into your skin from the sheet mask (helps use all the product and reduce waste) also makes your skin GLOW before locking everything in with a lotion
DOING SOME OF MY HOBBIES ;
i love to make moodboards on canva and pinterest, everytime i make one thats really good i post it on my twitter and sometimes my tumblr. this is just a fun way for me to express something visually, like my vision for something (a post, my week, a season in my life etc) it's like digital scrap-booking literally.
What helps w nerves and anxiety besides smoking? Like them pre interview gotta throw up jitters
hey nonny baby, sorry this took me so long to get to! I hope your interview went well ml! however, i would suggest box breathing with ujjayi breath, meditation/hypnosis and sound baths.
box breathing with ujjayi breath stimulates the vagus nerve and helos you calm.
first ujjayi breath is breathing into the back of your throat essentially, so think of if you were to fog up a mirror but with your mouth closed. you should feel the breath at the back of your throat and the sound should be similar to that of the ocean.
box breathing:
deep breath in for 4 counts (make sure stomach expands and imagine you are like a glass of water filling and the bottom of the belly is the bottom of the glass, also)
hold for 4 counts
exhale for for counts (stomach contracts, first 2-3 cycles you can open your mouth to exhale to really release jitters but after to steady calm breath, close mouth.)
hold for 4 counts
repeat
i highly recommend box breathing, guaranteed to calm you. you may have to do a few cycles before you feel much of anything but i promise you if you stay focused on your breath, you WILL calm your nerves. you can close your eyes too if it helps.
i also i have an app called aura, and it has sleep hypnosis vids for confidence, interviews, self-doubt, etc. listening to that the night before always helps and they also have soundbaths but you can find sound baths and calming frequencies on youtube too. (y'all can use my link for a free 30 day pass, i love this app down its the best i like listening to nicky sutton, mark bowden and liz solena are my favs. ive been listening to it for the past 3 years i think its like the only app i actually buy annual pass to since its so helpful. and wayyyyy cheaper than therapy lmfaooo)
Hey yo, is there a spell to make me less stressed???? Because I'm literally dying
For emotional states like stress, anger etc, I prefer mundane avenues like self care and taking a minute to myself as needed throughout the day.
You’ll get better results if you approach this mundanely first in my opinion.
Start your day with whatever you do when you first get up. Before you take your shower, set a 60 second timer and just breath in in through your nose, and out through your mouth. Take your shower, visualize stress washing away and take that minute whenever you need through the day.
Drink some mint tea, stirring counter clockwise if you want something witchy focusing on stress, frustration and panic receding with each stir.
There are binding spells you can do for emotions, but...I don’t suggest them except for very rare situations. As it’s you, it’s connected to you the witch. Constant state of power, can go a little sideways you know?
Other option if you really want to include witchy shit, find a crystal that connects to calm, healing or clarity and just pour your emotional stress into it throughout the day. Try your hand at sigil craft. Or personify you stressors and do a binding of that. Everyone always suggests an ice binding so try that: Sharon at work is just being a bag of paste, so toss her name or photo in the freezer and picture it when you see her because she needs to chill the fuck out.
Hopefully you can end the year on a good note, and happy solstice!
Hey guys! So since it’s kind of getting hectic this semester (like every semester) I decided to share some tips and tricks for relaxation so I rlly hope you enjoy ~
step 1
• grab some ice. put it in a cup. pour some water in the cup. sit down with your lovely cup of water and drink all of it, and reflect on your day and be proud of what you have accomplished, even if it was something small.
step 2
• start a hot bath, or, start a hot shower. use your favorite products, or products you would use once a week like hair masks and full body scrubs. thank your body for the places it takes you. spend 2 more minutes than you usually would in the shower.
step 3
• put on some really comfortable clothes. silk pajamas are always a fave, but whatever you want is perfectly cool. just wear what fabric makes you feel the comfiest.
step 4
• make a hot drink, whether it be herbal tea or steamed milk with vanilla. something caffeine free and relaxing.
step 5
• lay down on a sofa or reclining chair and watch your favorite show or a rlly interesting documentary. sip your warm drink and grab a snack
An emoji spell to relax a racing mind plus tips on relaxing:

(As always, likes charge & Reblog to cast)
• Relax the mind by thinking of a place that makes you happy, if you don't have a happy place, then imagine you're in a Bob Ross painting full of happy little trees. If your senses are more akin to music, then put on your favorite tunes that always seem put a smile on your face.
• Massage your temples and remember that anything that may be bothering you or is going wrong right now will pass. Nothing lasts forever and that includes dark life moments.
•Take a warm bath/shower and imagine you're washing away all the negative energy of the day.
Lay in bed with the lights off and try to clear your mind. Counting helps me because I can't ever stop thinking so this gives me something else to do that doesn't make my brain work too hard. Also, while doing this make sure your jaw isn't clenched, your back and shoulders are relaxed and that you're laying in a comfortable position.
