ID: A flag with seven horizontal stripes, the middle is twice the height of the others. The colors are, from top to bottom, darkish indigo, washed-out cool purple, washed-out violet, washed-out lilac, washed-out violet, washed-out cool purple, and darkish indigo. END ID
Metaphysgender: A gender related to the metaphysical/metaphysical things in some way. This can include religious stuff, more mythological stuff like ghosts, and stuff that maybe doesn’t fit in either like auras and stuff like that
The flag colors are just ones that I associate with the vibe of metaphysical stuff
“an” comes from angels, “hell” comes from Hellenism and “gi” comes from the relation to religigenders

Anhellgi- is a religigender and xenogender exclusive to devinive systems. This label does not discriminate against systems, and any origin/source a system may have does not exclude them from this label.
Anhelligi- is a gender specifically related to and only felt by Hellenistic angels ((ellinistikoí ángeloi (ελληνιστικοί άγγελοι)) or messenger angels ((angeliafóroi ángeloi (αγγελιαφόροι άγγελοι)) of Greek origin/mythology. It is a specifically non-human gender and can only be described as “the gender of an ancient angel.” This gender may or may not feel bestowed upon the user by the gods.

[Flag ID: A nine stripped flag with a large centre icon. They go in order of robin egg, metallic gold, medium chestnut, desert, pale mocha, desert, medium chestnut, metallic gold and robin egg. A white glow overlay radiates from the top left corner. The icon is a stretched, blank scroll topped with a pair of gold wings. They are outlined and defined with mint. End ID]
discordianigender: a gender related to discordianism
for anon! the top two stripes are hex codes #232323 and #55555 (as the numbers 5 and 23 are important in discordianism), the inner three are colors that make me think of chaos/discord, and the bottom two are from an image of the apple of discord that i found. the term combines ‘discordiani’ from ‘discordianism’ + ‘gender’!
flag id: a flag with 7 stripes. in order, they are near-black, dark grey, pinkish-red, bright purple, bright yellow-green, light sandy brown, and gold. end id.
Note: Androgynos here refers to the Ancient Hellenic religiogender, not the Jewish gender by the same name. They’re simply both Greek words for similar concepts.
I hadn’t seen any androgynon flags, and since I identify as androgynon—especially in context of my worship—I thought I’d try my hand at it.
Androgynon is, boiled down to its bare bones, "a Hellenist religiogender for individuals who are nonbinary, intersex, androgynous, bigender, and/or bisexual." The term acts as a gender and epithet. For example, an androgynos god may be bisexual and a "switch" (ie Adonis and Dionysos) or intersex (ie Hermaphroditos).
Meanings:
Gold: Hermaphroditos, the divine
Wine red: Dionysos, blurring of lines
Rose: Adonis, the bisexual androgynos
Navy: The wine-dark sea
Green: The Makhlyes, the intersex androgynon
The first symbol is the symbol for the Divine Nonbinary/Androgynous, the second for the Divine Neutral/Agender, and of course a no symbol version is last.
So, to be clear, I am these terms' original coiners. But, for reasons elaborated in my last post, I am removing them from the website where they were originally coined. Additionally, I no longer define them the same as I used to. As such, I am redefining them today. The original definitions will be at the bottom of each for clarity.
Both are gender identities exclusively for non-cisgender Hellenic Polytheists. Period. I expect non-polytheists and cisgender folks to refrain from coining imagery or labels for these identities (and yes, I do need to make that disclaimer, unfortunately.)
With that out of the way, let's crack in:
Iphisian
[ID in alt text]
Iphisian is a gender for Hellenic Polytheists who are AFAB (or natally female) and transgender, CAFAB intersex, transmasculine, transgender lesbians, and especially transmasculine lesbians. The gender is also oriented towards, but not exclusive to, worship of Aphrodite, Hera, and/or Isis (Kemetic). It is named after the figure in Greek Mythology, Iphis, who was a 'woman' raised as, and later turned into, a man. It is strongly associated with the theoi and the divinity of the transgender experience.
While being transmasculine or a lesbian are not a requirement to be Iphisian, being a transgender or intersex Hellenic Polytheist is, and the term refers mainly to transmasculine and transneutral Hellenists.
Original/outdated definition: Iphisian is a gender for Hellenic Polytheists who are AFAB and transgender. The gender is also oriented towards, but not exclusive to, worship of Aphrodite, Hera, and Isis (Egyptian). It is named after the figure in Greek Mythology, Iphis, who was a 'woman' raised as, and later turned into, a man.
Teirsian
[ID in alt text]
Teirsian is a gender for Hellenic Polytheists who are multigender, CAMAB intersex, AMAB and transgender, and/or genderfluid. The gender is also oriented towards, but not exclusive to, worship of Apollon, Hermes, and/or Hera. It is named after the figure in Greek Mythology, Teirsias, who was transformed into a woman for seven years.
While being transfeminine or AMAB isn't a requirement for being Teirsian, being a non-cisgender or intersex Hellenic Polytheist is, and the term refers mainly to multigender and genderfluid Hellenists.
Original/outdated definition: Teirsian is a gender for Hellenic Polytheists who are bigender, AMAB transgender, and/or genderfluid. The gender is also oriented towards, but not exclusive to, worship of Apollon, Hermes, or Hera. It is named after the figure in Greek Mythology, Teirsias, who was transformed into a woman for seven years.
Note: natal sex and AGAB are both listed because they are not the same thing. Natal sex is birth sex (male/female/intersex). AGAB is what the doctor said when you were born. Natal sex and AGAB are not requirements for either terms, but who the term is oriented for due to the contents of the myth.
Finally, I'd like to reiterate I'm not a MOGAI blog and I don't plan to coin again soon (except to post my divine trans symbols, I suppose). I just wanted these terms off a Wiki that permitted disrespect of my religion, and to do that I needed to recoin them.
If you have questions, message me or reply. Khaire!
Edit: *honks clown nose* I forgot to include the flag meanings
Iphisian:
Blue-violet: Aphrodite, sapphic love, gentle masculinity
Blue: Hera, masculinity, grief and recovery
Light gold: The ouranic divine, Aphrodite/Hera's gift to Iphis
Thin pink stripe: The love and resilience at the center of the myth, and the love and beauty of trans people
Gold: The touch of the divine, concrete divine influence
Teirsian:
Lavender: Gender nonconformity, fluidity, blurring of lines
Muted magenta: Love, femininity, beauty, divine gifts
Light gold: The ouranic divine, Zeus and Hera, Apollon
Thin fuschia stripe: Erotic love, the divine marriage of Zeus and Hera, the wounding of Tiresias
Gold: The gift of Apollon, the touch of the divine
Edit 2: Natal sex is used in Iphisian because Iphis himself was not AFAB, but an AMAB natal female who became biologically male through the aid of the theoi. Natal sex is used to mean sex at time of birth, and is a commonly used alternative to AGAB by many interesex and transsex individuals.
I just really wanna be like nothing most of the time. Or a biblically accurate angel. Bit of a shadow sorta thing. Or just a beam of light. I don't really mind as long as I'm not really distinguishable as human. Oh well, guess I'll settle for looking like the incredibly sexy human I am.
The Divine Transgender is almost definitely not my original term--I'm sure someone else has used the name. But regardless, I wanted to coin it, because I've never seen it defined
A Divine Transgender person is any theistic trans person (of any religion, if you believe in divinity as a concept or as an entity) who considers their transness to be divine because, for example:
they believe the divine chose for them to be trans
they believe transition to be a divine act or to be desired by the divine
they believe transness brings them closer to their deity/divinity
Only theistic people may identify as Divine Transgender because the identity is based on the belief that divinity exists and has power, and belief in divinity is theism. However, one does not need to adhere to a specific religion. You only need to believe in some form of deity.
The best illustration of what the Divine Transgender is the quote that inspired the term;
“God blessed me by making me transsexual for the same reason God made wheat but not bread and fruit but not wine, so that humanity might share in the act of creation.” ― Daniel Mallory Ortberg, Something That May Shock and Discredit You
This term is trans exclusive and not just "Divine Gender" because, frankly, cis binary people already have their divine genders. The point of the Divine Transgender is the belief that trans people are just as sacred and blessed as cis people. No one needs to be convinced being cisgender is divine. So please respect the Divine Transgender being deeply significant and meaningful to theistic trans people, and do not coopt this term for cis folks. Everything else is for cis people. Trans people deserve our own sacred role in theism.
Symbols under the cut.
You can feel free to create your own versions of the Divine Transgender symbols, except to make cisgender versions of the symbols for the reason I stated. I consent to intersex, transgender, nonbinary and religiogender versions. That's it.
Note: Divine Transgender can be understood as a secular religiogender, concept, religious expression, demonstration of the role of trans people in religion, and a way to contextualize transness as holy and/or a blessing when it's often treated instead as divine punishment. You can say "I am a Divine Transgender," but you can also refer to "the Divine Transgender."
No hate on the original Sappholatryc flag or @pupyzu, its creator, the flag is beautiful, but I wanted to make my own version with a meaning!
Sappholatryc is simply “a gender connected to the worship of Sappho,” which I relate to. I consider my lesbianism, worship, gender, and the work of Sappho to all be closely linked, and I truly love the term.
I devoted the creation of this flag to Sappho, and by proxy Aphrodite.
Meanings:
Deep purple: Ink, Sappo’s hair, the kthonic/hero worship
Purple: Violets, sapphic love
Lavender: Peace, the ouranic/the heavens
Cream: Clouds, the muse
Beige: To resemble the original flag, paper
Gold: The theoi/deities, immortality
Rust: Roses, Aphrodite’s blessing, mortality
The emblem is directly from the original Sappholatryc flag, and the bottom four stripes are modeled after it because. It's gorgeous.
