Yes my friends....this is actually a drawing.......yes a drawing I made with my own paws! Now why make such a detailed drawing???? Weeeeelllll.....in my Rendering class for College, it was required of me to pick 6 objects that each are the 6 different textures we were assigned to do: Glass, Stone, Plant, Animal, Fabric and Food. For my glass, I did a Murano glass dolphin. I seriously love those things like crazy and I always did! I actually have one on my nightstand that sits alongside my dragon figures and Dunkleosteous figure, and it has been with me ever since I was 8. Hehehe! So yep, for glass, I could not resist doing one of these beauties!
In case you're wondering, the tools used were Prismacolor markers, micron pen, and a prismacolor white colored pencil. Now not to dis Prismacolor in any way, but if it were up to me, I would have done this in either watercolor paints, or just plain crayola colored pencil, AKA, my main medium. I am a artist that is all for utilizing the cheap tools you have to make something great over paying for something crazy expensive that can get the job done much more efficiently, as I feel true talent within an artist lies in their skills and how they wield the art tools that they have, not the fancy tools that they possess. I am only working with these because it was required of me to for class. I won't lie, they are a fun and interesting experience, and when I am through with the class, I do intend on using them to their limit because why waste what you have? However, in the end, it is colored pencils that are my thing.
Okie! Lecture aside, I will say, enjoy!
