Can you do a ren x reader where she gets hurt on their first date because they run into Grimm and he feels really guilty and she's just wondering when they're going to go out again?

“You know I was actually pretty surprised when you asked me out,” you admitted following Ren as he led you further into the woods, “I mean I know we went to the dance together but I always thought you and Nora were a thing and you just felt sorry for me or something.”
Ren paused in his walking and turned to you slowly with a raised eyebrow, “Me and Nora?”
“Yes. You and Nora,” you confirmed. “I’ve seen how close you two are. I was jealous of her at first but then I suppose more a sibling type of relationship, best friends, not romantic, isn’t it?”
Ren gave you a small nod before turning back and walking forward once again though you did manage to catch the smirk that settled on his lips before he continued on.
Ren pulled you through one more patch of trees before the two of you entered into a clearing. You stared in awe at the gentle meadow that Ren had brought you to, it looked like something out of a painting. There was birds chirping, warm sunshine, a cool breeze, an actual babbling brook, spongy grass with patches of flowers speckled around. You almost pinched yourself that you weren’t just dreaming of such a place.
Ren gave a soft chuckle as he caught sight of your face and you snapped out of it. “I found this place on one of my daily walks once. I’ve come back to it quite often and while I’m sure others have discovered it, you are the first person I, myself, have brought back here.”
“Why me?” you questioned as you watched him kneel down and lay out the blanket.
He took the basket from your hands and began laying out food and tea before answering, “You have many times mentioned that you believe this is a pity date or I tool you to the dance out of sympathy but I brought you here because this is a date and I really do like you. You’re very honorable when you fight and quite talented. When you aren’t fighting you’re funny and smart and sort of just a ray of sunshine and I just want to bask in your light so please stop doubting yourself because it is I who is not worthy of you.”
You felt your cheeks heat up furiously as Ren took your hand and helped you down onto the blanket. “You’re a pretty cool guy yourself so I think we’re both lucky,” you replied back with a grin.
You actually managed to relax after that and fall into a steady rhythm of conversation. You and Ren have hung out before but this was different. You were connecting and flirting and it felt great. Your hand rested on his knee as he told a story from when he was younger. You were beaming at him and every time his eyes caught yours he smiled a little wider.
You gripped his knee though when you felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. You looked around and as Ren picked up something was wrong he quieted and set down his tea.
His voice was just above a whisper as he asked, “Do you hear something?”
“Not yet. I sense it though,” you let go of him and inched towards your weapon, trying not to move too much as you tried to figure out where the danger was.
There was a quick rustle of trees and the sound of snapping branches before a decently sized ursa roared out, making its way into the meadow.
You picked up your weapon and shot a few rounds at it though it only seemed to be agitated by your attempt as you scrambled to your feet. Ren was quick to join in, jumping up beside you and shooting at the creature himself.
The ursa bellowed and you focused yourself, aiming your shots more skillfully as you sprinted around the massive creature, hitting the spots you knew would do the most damage. Ren took the other side, firing in a concentrated fashion as well.
The grimm decided to follow you which was fine since you were ready for it. What you weren’t ready for was whatever shot Ren took that knocked the creature off its hind legs and on top of you.
After the initial fear though you quickly placed the barrel of your gun into the ursa’s mouth and unloaded.
Soon you felt the weight disappear and knew you had defeated the grimm. You sighed and laid back as you caught your breath.
“Y/N!” Ren shouted, rushing over to your side.
“I’m fine. Just give me a minute,” you reassured, waving a hand at him as a sign you were alive.
“You call this fine?” he asked gingerly picking up the arm you waived at him and letting you see it.
“Oh, that might need a band-aid but I’m alive,” you shrugged. You’d be feeling that once the adrenaline wore off but until then you were willing to make jokes.
“I am so sorry, Y/N. This is my fault. I’ve never seen grimm out here but I should have been more careful. I ruined our first date,” he hung his head.
You sat up, avoiding using your scratched arm, placing your good hand on his, “You didn’t ruin anything. Though I get to pick where we go next time. I’m thinking something more populated.”
“Next time?” he looked up, a smile playing on his lips as he raised an eyebrow.
You shook your head and leaned forward to press a quick kiss to his lips, “Yes. Next time.”
Just in case anyone was wondering what my life is like...I'm trying to work, Rosa slithered in to stop me, and Edwin's being all goofy in the background. For the record, I'm not playing Pokémon Go; I just thought the labels were fitting. ;) (If anyone's curious, I'm drawing Ren for that RWBY Olympics series I've been working on.) #sculpturalrenaissance #bevcantdraw #catstagram #catsofinstagram #pokemongo #pokemongomemes #organicmemes #cats #cat #edwinandrosa #rwbyfanart #renrwby
