[1968] Movie Date - Tedromeda

Summer had barely started and Andromeda was feeling restless, her home felt small and everything her mother and sisters said had her on edge. What was worst was their plans for her wedding, the dreaded event of her life, that she had managed to push for far too long and now her mother was back at it. 

Andromeda couldn’t care less, about the event, she could stress and try to avoid to be presented to another man to the society so she could marry and strengthened the blood line but that only made her want to run faster than to fulfil the expectations of her mother.

It wasn’t even a week after she got home when she started owling Ted and agreed on a date. She wasn’t sure where exactly Ted was taking her but he told her it was one of the muggle things she always wanted to do so she was looking forward to it.

Apparating near the meeting spot she waited Ted looking from one side to the other trying to catch a glimpse of his curls.

[1972] Bun in the Oven

If someone told Andromeda a few years back that she would end up in a tiny flat in the middle of muggle London she would believed they were mad but now she was there, in the tiny flat, wringing her hands together nervously. 

Ted would flip, she was flipping, this couldn’t be happening, could it? how it could be? 

Merlin she wanted a drink.

She heard Ted’s keys and took a deep breath, hoping it would calm her. She was wrong. But at least Ted was home, and they could talk this over.

[1975] Hard Decisions

Andromeda had been working at Hogwarts for almost 4 years, they had been happy with her work ethic and how she treated the students, that’s why when Dumbledore asked her to his office. It was rare that the Headmaster talked to her one on one, usually her instructions came via letter or through Poppy, never directly from him.

She nervously made her way up there, not remembering being there when she was a student and much less after. It made her nervous and she wasn’t sure why, maybe some kind of silliness of being ‘reprimand’ which wasn’t even logical.

Dumbledore and her had a long and serious chat about her future, the war, and her involvement. It wasn’t something she discussed much since she was a healer but it always made her think things like: what would become of her friends and family, and was she staying still because of fear or caution. Questions that filled her head when she arrived home later than usual, to an asleep Dora and a cozy husband on the couch.

“Hello, love.” she said softly pecking his lips and sitting next to him, briefly watching the telly as her mind tried to quiet itself enough to talk to Ted. “How was Dora today?”

[1968] Figures in the Dark - Tedromeda

The Black Manor had never looked like that, it was a strange scenery where her mother and sisters were sitting bellow the tree Andromeda used to love to read. The middle child had never seen her mother so content on being under the sun and with her daughters as she was now, until she saw Andromeda.

Druella’s expression changed to one that Andromeda had learned to fear, it distorted and contorted until ti looked more like a demonic mask than her actual mother. The woman launched to Andromeda as she screamed for her sister to help her, turning to them their faces turned the same horrible shape.

She ran away from them into the forest, looking behind herself seeing where the monsters were but she could only hear the horrid laugh and the screeches of her mother repeating the spell that would bound Andromeda to her will over and over again.

Andromeda woke with a startle, screaming for help at the top of her lungs, she was shaking to the core, looking around for any hint of the monsters from her dreams coming to get her. She still wanted to run so far and fast that they would never find her, but her legs didn’t cooperate, leaving the Black girl in a crying mess as she still could feel the constricting hands that wanted to control her in her nightmares.

[1968] Bitter News

Andromeda was a nervous wreck, she knew how Ted would react, Rabastan wasn’t exactly one of the people he liked but she was desperate, her mother was set on her determination to clean her name and she didn’t have a choice, not if she wanted to stay in the family; she just hope that Ted would understand.

She send an owl to her boyfriend hoping he could get there without trouble and waited at the room for him, unable to sit still and pacing around the room.

[1972] Lucky Us

It was the weekend between Andromeda’s and Ted’s birthday, this year they had the lucky to have them in the middle of the week, so Andy had this idea of making this weekend extra special. He requested Ted to not take any assignments and aside from going to the Tonks’ for Sabbath lunch they didn’t have any plans.

She decided to make Ted’s favorite meal and while he watched the match on the telly she moved to a little box on their dresser. She had a few treasures there, some you could put a price on them, others priceless. One of those was a little phial Peeves had given her in a good day, it contained a golden liquid that she knew was bottled luck.

Without a doubt she uncapped it and swallowed it whole before putting the phial back and going out to where her husband was. “Dinner is almost ready,” she said pecking the top of his head and returning to the kitchen.

[1969] Outings - Tedromeda

It had been six months since Andromeda started living with the Tonks since she ran away, and in reality things were better than worst, however there was still tension around the home. Hannah looked at every detail and every mistake to hang it over Andromeda’s head and the constant feeling of being an intruder was sometimes too much to bear.

However that wasn’t the main part of her live with the Tonks, her dinners were filled with warm conversations, and the house had this lovely vibe to it, that if Andromeda ignored the pettiness of Ted’s older sister she would call it a perfect life.

Even with it she still missed spending time alone with Ted, it seemed that ever since the rule of sleeping in separate bedrooms was said that Ted and Andromeda hardly had time alone with each other, to reconnect, or anything. Eventually they found a way to get everything out of the way and just sneak out for a bit without the constant eyes of Ted’s sisters.

Today it was the first sunny day in a while and the flowers were blossoming so it was the perfect day for one of their little dates. Andromeda managed to get the kitchen to herself and filled a small basket with enough treat for her an Ted to have on that lovely afternoon. Once she was sure she had everything she moved to the living room looking at her boyfriend, “Ready?”

AU - In Chains

Background: Voldemort rose to power immediately and created a law that made muggleborns servants of the magical community. They have the same status as a House Elf but they are not given wands nor allowed to do magic. Many of this wizards die on the house of Obscurus or their masters, but there are few that can survive longer.

Andromeda had known Ted since they brought him home, she was ten and she remember clearly when the eleventh year old came trashing, pleading that they let him go back home. She had seen other muggleborns, she knew that they were beneath her and she shouldn’t think of them twice, but every time a new one came new questions sparked in Andromeda’s head.

Ted was sweet, he had a stutter that only became worst when he talked with her mother. She knew that her mother could be quite intimidating so she didn’t blame the boy, but she thought that in time it would fade, that he would get the same mindset than the other muggleborns around the house. 

He didn’t.

She was reading in the library, usually her father didn’t mind her there as long as she didn’t make a mess, and she didn’t, she always marked the place where she took the book and put it back exactly in the same spot, but today something caught her eye. Running through the backyard was the newest acquisition of the Black family, right to the magical barrier that would zap him and made him unconscious for her mother to torture.

Andromeda couldn’t allow that, she needed to stop it, she didn’t know why but she wanted to help. She hopped from the library window and started running as fast as she could, when she was near enough for him to hear she yelled, “Wait!” but the boy didn’t listen so she ran faster, “There’s a barrier!” she yelled once more as she caught his arm, “There’s… there’s a barrier around the house…” she panted.
