the   span   of   a   decade   loomed   over   them,   shadowing   and   stilting   what   used   to   be   bright   and   easy.   steve   finds   himself   somewhere   caught   between   the   ache   in   his   chest   and   not   knowing   how   to   fix   what   had   been   broken   between   them.   there   was   no   way   to   get   back   all   the   years   that   had   been   stolen.   it   was   a   thought   that   kept   recycling   itself,   coming   to   the   forefront   of   his   mind   again   and   again   without   any   hope   of   resolution.   she'd   taken   him   in   at   least,   let   him   explain   everything,   but   the   truth   wasn't   a   balm   to   reopening   wounds.   if   anything   it   left   more   questions   between   them   than   it   answered.   

❝   —   you   don't   have   to   be   lonely,   ❞   blue   eyes   search   the   contours   of   eve's   face,   committing   them   to   memory   again.   he'd   been   so   scared   that   he'd   never   make   it   home,   that   she'd   fade   from   his   aging   mind   and   everything   important   to   him   would   be   well   and   truly   lost   forever.   ❝   i   know   it   isn't   fair,   for   me   to   come   back   now   and   ask   anything   of   you.   ❞   a   pause   claims   the   space   between   his   lips   as   he   struggles   under   the   weight   of   everything   that   he'd   been   through,   everything   he'd   put   her   through.   ❝   please   eve,   let   me   stay  ?❞

mistletoe -> Hayami :p on purpose ??

if  it  weren’t  for  hayami,  steve  was  certain  he  wouldn’t  even  know  their  building  had  a  decorating  committee.  he  paid  his  dues  to  the  HOA  and  didn’t  think  about  getting  involved  past  that,  and  while  he  always  enjoyed  the  ambiance  of  the  decorations  during  the  holidays,  he  hadn’t  given  much  thought  to  how  they  got  there.  now  he  wasn’t  an  official  member  of  the  committee,  but  he’d  been  assigned  by  proxy  ( guilty  by  association  as  it  were )  and  volunteered  to  help  this  year.  

it  takes  him  a  minute  to  find  hayami  when  he  finishes  his  tasks,  and  he  shakes  his  head  when  he  does.  she  was  semi-balanced  on  a  step  stool  on  her  tip  toes  and  looked  about  10  seconds  from  falling.  he  steps  forward  and  steadies  her  with  his  hands  at  her  hips,  looking  up  to  meet  her  gaze.  ❝ —  hey  i  finished  hanging  the  paper  snowflakes  on  this  floor  and  got  the  window  decals  up, ❞  he  stops  rambling  off  his  list  of  accomplishments  when  he  realizes  he’d  fallen  into  a  trap.  her  smile  is  gleefully  triumphant  as  his  eyes  flick  between  her  and  the  beautifully  arranged  mistletoe  now  at  home  above  the  elevator.  he  chuckles  and  lifts  her  easily  to  settle  her  back  on  solid  ground  before  wrapping  his  arms  around  her  and  capturing  her  soft  lips  in  a  kiss.

8. Name any three things about the rpc that bother you.

OH !!   a little more pressure with this one. let’s see. i actually think a lot of things about rpc that ‘bother’ me stem from long periods of time when i wasn’t roleplaying on this platform. being gone for a few years here and there had an impact on my understanding of how some features sort of interacted with the rpc. also soft blocking wasn’t a thing, and then it was, and i still am not sure i understand it? why not just block-block? also it bothers me that some people seem to purposefully cultivate a negative culture, i will never understand the point of saying something hateful or mean or disparaging to someone. is that three? sort of  :|  wait i really don’t like when people are made to feel bad for not conforming to some norm, like using icons or small text. like literally you should do, whatever you want.   //  Q’s
