It didn’t feel that way most times. She felt like she was suffocating. That the air she lived for, the crisp cool breezes she danced one had been robbed of her. While every ever in her body set up in flames and she had no other choice but to burn in the smoke and anguish that raged inside her rib cage and mind, and to do it with a brightly placed smile at that. It was ruthless the emptiness that could come so quickly and knock her down and steal her voice; but she had fought for so long alone to reclaim it -- the idea of help was so odd to her.
“ It doesn’t feel like I am. It never has. “
Her voice is soft as she sniffs a knuckle coming to brush away the stray tear that welled and rolled over her cheek. The resolved expression forming on her features something so familiar; you feel so much you must bury half of it or you will be consumed. Teeth press to her bottom lip as she takes a deep breath shoulders shrugging as she sniffs once more, clearing her throat.
“ Its weird. I want to scream for help, I want to ask so many for a hand just to help hold the boulder I’m carrying; but I can never get a breath deep enough to say it. “
