Do Not Trust Google For Medical Advice

Especially if you're USAmerican and you need a (free) source of information about whatever it is you're experiencing:

Cleveland Clinic has articles about almost everything and they're written for somebody who knows -nothing- about medical care. Like what to expect from a blood test, level of detail.

Mayo Clinic also has a health library that covers just about everything, as well as a reasonable symptom checker (linked).

If you see either of those pop up when you're searching for information, click those results first.

Friendly reminder, they ALWAYS have to tell you it MIGHT be cancer, for the 1 in 15,000,000,000 chance it is cancer and you sue them for not saying it might be cancer. I'll post about differential diagnoses next.

I used to struggle a lot with irritation but I switched to a safety razor and it basically went away! I don’t get as close of a shave but I can shave more often with horribly breaking out after. Also, they’re more eco-friendly since the only part that you dispose of is the actual razor blade itself.

hello! welcome back! do you have any geraskier fic recs? :D

Hey anon! Thank you :) It's been fun to come back to tumblr again.

You know, I'm not normally a huge fic reader (I know, I'm weird!) but I actually consumed a TON of Geraskier fics after I started shipping them. The only thing is because I'm kind of late to the fandom, most of the fics I've read are better known (as that's where I've had to start). Sorry if the recs aren’t that groundbreaking, but I’m always happy to note some stories that I love.

I love basically any Geraskier work by sospes (ao3), in particular To Sleep Perchance To, The Public Perception of the Barding Profession, The Song of the White Wolf, and Unspoken. Note the warnings on these fics, some of them deal with noncon.

I adored The Painter by United where Geralt tries to track down Jaskier after he hears a new song by our favorite bard. The song itself is so lovely and just the fic in general is a huge joy to read, and the scene where Geralt hears Jaskier play the song in person lives in my head rent free.

The One My Soul Cries Out For by @whispered-story. This is a great soulmate AU and really recommend it for anyone who wants to be kicked in the stomach by a fic. I also really liked their fics Yet Always Back Returning to Those First Feelings and The Hand of Destiny That Was Guiding Us Together.

The Witcher Wolf and the companion The Witcher Wolf 2: Geralt's POV by @im-fairly-whitty​ were a really fun read. Not a trope I expected to love so much, but Geralt as a nice wolf is absolutely adorable.

I honestly had never heard of Hanahaki disease until this fandom, but surprisingly loved several of the fics I read with that: A Dandelion By Any Other Name by @asmolbirb, Fill My Lungs (With Sweetness) by WednesdaysDaughter (ao3), and Bearing the will of the flower by Solshine (ao3).

 A Blessing, A Curse by aileenrose (ao3) is an awesome fic that explores Jaskier leaving on the mountain as if it were a djinn wish, and man does it HURT for a bit. I also really love Another Time, Again which is an amazing amnesia fic where Jaskier tries to help Geralt recover his memories.

Truth of The Heart by CosmicOcelot (ao3) explores post 01x06 while diving into “missing moments” from Jaskier and Geralt’s travels together, all while Geralt works to save Jaskier from an incubus who has stolen his memories. It’s really poignant and well done.

Want a cute fix-it fic about Jaskier and Geralt making up and going to the coast? Then I think you’ll love Though I Try Not To by @drowningbydegrees.

An ode to Valdo Marx by Beginte (ao3) showcases Geralt parkouring to the worst possible conclusions like a champ. I love silly misunderstandings that get resolved quickly and end happily, and this fic delivers.

I love so many of the Geraskier fics by lesdemonium (winnerstick) (ao3), particularly My Heart, I'd Be the Choiceless Hope, and Everything.

Oidhche (Night) by darkmagess (ao3) is a difficult fic because it address the aftermath of a brutal noncon assault, but the writing is gorgeous and it’s very much worth reading.

home is nowhere, therefore you by @et-in-arkadia is a lovely fairytale style fic that features True Love’s Kiss, and I love it.

I’m only a third of the way or so through my bookmarks at this point, so I’m going to stop, but happy to chat off anon for more recs if you would like :) I also might just compile a full rec list that I can share going forward.
