Superman is about fighting for and with the people who may not get to live their lives without a smidge of hope and goodness on their side.

If you see Russia or Israel mirrored in the film’s enemy then I think that tells you everything you need to know about what part they play in the wars they started, regardless of whether you are offended by that association or not.
