🤔 - If they could have one question answered, what would they ask? And 😵 - What could tempt them away from their goals? for Xin?
🤔 - If they could have one question answered, what would they ask?
“Why does the Force hate us so much?”
An almost Kreia-ish philosophy plagues Xin ever since joining the Revanites and witnessing how dark some of its practitioners are. He has encountered the teachings of both Revan and Kreia and realises that the Force not only has a will but a malicious one that thrives on conflict, destruction and death.
If he was confronted with a physical manifestation of the Force, doubtless he would ask it why it allowed beings to suffer, much like how an atheist in heaven might ask God why children can get bone cancer. To what end does that serve? What does it hope to accomplish by having Jedi and Sith constantly at war with one another, and by pushing the Revanites further towards tearing the galaxy asunder?
This is the one question he wrestles with and with every passing day, it seems, he is no closer to an answer.
😵 - What could tempt them away from their goals?
Re-joining the Sith could tempt him away from his goal of striking “true balance” with the Force. The main reason he abandoned the Sith to join the Revanites was that he believed the Dark Side should temper itself with the teachings of the Jedi, something that the Order of Revan readily embraces.
However, after his initiation, he realises the reality is far different, that the beings that make up the Order are still too drenched in the Dark Side. After many years, he comes to regret his decision and wishes he could re-join the Sith where he surrendered his rank, titles, and all that he held dear, all because of something he believed in.
It is because he joined the Revanites that no member of his family will ever speak to him again - not just out of malice, but also because the Empire would execute them after using them to find him. As a Sith, he felt isolated. As a Revanite, he is truly alone.
