Dude... I don't even need the buddie goggles for this scene. It gets it's own post. This scene was straight up flirting. The soft, playful banter...Buck's slow approach... the smiles. Come on now..

rewatching 911 2x18
- god i love abuela and pepa
- being with eddie is what’s best for christopher. that being established so early on is so important to me. this episode changed the show fundamentally. i stand by that.
- eddie is a car guy. or at least he knows the inside of a car. i can’t remember if he ever worked as a mechanic in the gap between the army and LAFD. or he just knows about cars bc that’s something that a lot of people know about.
- I love this arc so much.
- “was evan buckley in that fire truck?” - my roomate when the truck blew up. also her “let me triage him” (we’re both in healthcare)
- they lowkey could have made his leg crush look better. it lowkey looks like he could just wiggle out with the way they did it. obviously not actually crushing oliver starks leg with a truck. but you know what i mean
- “shoot me if you have to” bobby i swear to god
-the fact that eddie is actively grieving throughout this episode is so crazy. but also he put his grief on hold because he had to be there for christopher.
- god “we’re out of time cap” god god this fucking show
- buck is so hurt. i can’t emphasize how fucking bad this would be. he was so close to just. fucking dying. If i was on shift and i heard that report of buck coming in thinking Oh Fuck. I’m thinking rnhabdomylosis. hyperkalemia (like maddie said) which can make your heart stop. tissue perfusion is fucked. he’s gonna go into shock if not already. he’s probably gonna code. it’s crazy that he didn’t code (go into an unstable rhythm/loose his pulse/fucking die). anyways.
- buck panicking when he wakes up. he’s so young. he’s so young and he’s so hurt.
- “he didn’t know if i would ever work again” the way he didnt care about anything else is devastating.
- this arc is such a well-written way to develop bucks character. i honestly love it.
Tommy's favourite movie is Love Actually
I love this man.
*Rewatching this scene of s4 with my partner*
My partner:"This scene is really beautiful. It's you who are made it ugly"
Me:"Why?"
My partner: "Because you see a sexual meaning"
Me: "I don't see a sexual meaning"
My partner: "A romantic one. When they just friends"
*Next expisode later*
My partner: "Why Eddie is having a panic attack with his wife?"
Me: "She's not his wife. But who knows👀👀"
ANGELA BASSET ILYSM YOU ARE SO FUCKING TALENTED AND BADASS AND GORGEOUS
Rage:
Yeah, no, I'm with Michael all the way on the police vs people fight. They should be for all people, but the world has proven that's not the case.
I like that Buck is Eddie's instant Jail bail option, haha.
FYI, she's just female Buck guys, haha.
Using my experience of having a 20 year friendship...Yep, that still sounds like a fight with your SO. It's the tone that gets me. Eddie sounds like a tossed aside lover.
It might be these goggles, but Michael and Bobby are fucking adorable together. Hey. All for Athena/Bobby, but that would be a threesome I'd watch is all I'm saying.
Bobby is the best dad. He has so much patience for his hot headed adopted oldest son. You never give up on true family.
Okay, fight club Eddie. ❤️

this show used to flow so nicely. bobby begins again into the bombing arc into shannon’s death and then bucks lawsuit and the tsunami and the fight club. it’s just such a comprehensive story.
i’m watching 2x17 and why does this episode start so silly. what do you mean a man fell in a giant chocolate pot and then end of episode a woman has died.
Alright, so I watched several episodes without writing out comments because I was watching with my niece. So I'm just gonna pick up right here:
The searchers:
This episode crushes me! Buck searching endlessly for Christopher and never finding him is hard to watch.
This feels like the first real buddie moment. The way Eddie delivered that "There's no one I trust with my son more than you" ? The looks, the closeness, the mood? Yeah, it's giving future lover, not my bestie needing a pick me up. And Buck's stare right after Eddie left, like he was trying to process something? Yeah, uh-huh, something is coming to the surface there.
As always Christopher is the cutest.
Triggers:
Clipboard Buck!
Okay, Buck was upset about being replaced, but i feel like a little of that was jealousy. "Why call Eddie? There was like 6 other people. You took my spot, but you can't have Eddie. No nono. No."
Oh, the looks of betrayal Buck gives are always heartbreaking! I understand why he feels like he's alone, but Bobby really is just trying to look out for him. He's lost his whole family once and he wants to avoid having that ever happen again. Buck means more to him than just being a firefighter.
As a person with 3 older sisters... Only child sounds nice, but I pulled the broken parents that raise broken children card. So, even though I have them, I've always felt alone. So, basically, I guess it's good when you have the right parents and Hen and Karen are definitely the right parents.
Speaking of great parents...Hug Christopher again Eddie!
