17 Apr 2017. Favourite Game of Thrones book or TV season? My favourite book is A Clash of Kings (I love this minimalist cover so much omg). And my favourite season is… more difficult to answer because so many of my favourite characters shine in different seasons. So I'm going to say season six. 13 Apr 2017. Do you prefer the story of Wicked or The Wizard of Oz? The Wizard is a jerk in both stories but jeez he does well to blend in. I have to go with Wicked as my favourite because the political undercurrent and fractured fairy tale elements are enough to make me fall in love a million times over. 10 Apr 2017. What’s your favourite bookish portal? I’m loving the portal in #LostInABook, but other than that I’ve always loved mirrors. I could say that it started with Through the Looking Glass but that would be a lie. It started with The Diamond Princess Steps Through the Mirror, which is part of The Jewel Kingdom series. Hey everyone! Here's my April wrap up: ● Exit West by Mohsin Hamid - 4/5 ☆ ● Freedom is a Constant Struggle by Angela Y. Davis - 4.75/5 ☆ ● Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde - 4/5 ☆ ● The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli - 4/5 ☆ ● The Earth is Singing by Vanessa Curtis - 4.5/5 ☆ My favorite of the month was definitely Freedom is a Constant Struggle. It's a short book of speeches (and a couple interviews) Davis has given. She talks about the Black Lives Matter movement, Palestine, the prison system and the 'prison industrial complex'...it's an incredible book, and I highly recommend it! If you are wanting to read about intersectional feminism and learn something new, I can't recommend Davis' work more!
