7 ways to honour Rhiannon/Epona - small devotional acts
There’s not a lot of information on Rhiannon worship on Tumblr, so I thought I’d make a lil guide.
1. Sing your heart out for her. Even if you think you sound awful, just sing to her. Imitate the songbirds or just sing the song that pops into your head first.
2. You could even go one step further and write a song for her. It doesn’t have to be good, just put your soul into it.
3. Pay more attention to dogs, horses and songbirds and give them some extra love today.
4. Her favourite scents are jasmine, lavender, bergamot, sandalwood, neroli, narcissus and a few more. You could drink jasmine tea, burn sandalwood incense as an offering or wear a perfume with neroli in. Or buy some narcissus flowers, dry them and place them at your altar for her.
5. Just let her know that you’re thinking of her. Say her name, either aloud or in your head. Tell her you appreciate her, admire her or love her.
6. When you feel the wind on your face, just know that she’s there. Just stop for a moment and speak to her. Let her know how your day is going. Ask her for some guidance or advice. If you suddenly feel strongly towards one option, she’s given you your answer.
7. My favourite - just sit with the moon, maybe light a white jasmine candle, or other tools related to her correspondences and meditate on her incredible story. Let yourself be imbued with her incredible resilience, humility and strength. Think about how you can use her story and its lessons to apply to your own life.
I feel that Rhiannon is such an underappreciated Goddess (though she’s my matron, so I may be biased), so there’s not much advice on how to communicate with or honour her. Though I’m fully aware that these ideas aren’t the most unique ones out there, they are based on my personal experience with her and just off the top of my head, so please don’t knowingly pass them off as your own. Please feel free to add your own if you reblog! We need more Rhiannon resources here!
