One of my favorite Caryl head-canons is that Carol has been in love with Daryl for years, way before Ezekiel, but is very aware that Daryl was not in a place to get into a romantic relationship. So, she carried on with her life. Having learned from her time with Ed that if something good comes your way, seize it if you can. While on the flip side, Daryl has been in love with Carol similarly, but hasn’t been ready to do anything about it. And it took till Ezekiel for him to see the big fat flaw in that particular plan. So, he lived in the forest like a hobo for six years, pouting and trying to find Rick.
But mostly pouting.
"Play bitch games, win bitch prizes" may be the greatest sentence that I've read all week, and I WILL find a way to use it in my daily conversations now. So thanks for that :)

Not a headcanon, more just a thought. Since they always had their centennial dates in June, it isn't until they start seeing each other more frequently in modern times that Dream gets to see Hob in winter. Seeing him in a cozy coat, scarf, gloves, and a hat with a fluffy pom pom on top, ears and nose pink with cold, his breath coming out in a fog. Conversely, Dream seeing Hob in the boiling heat of late summer: doing sweaty outdoor work, stripping to cool off, tits out. A Hob for every season.
Dream is NOT emotionally prepared for tits out Hob in the summer. He might actually have to disappear in a flurry of sand just to get himself together again. Appear and disappear so fast Hob isn't even sure he was there in the first place. He's hyperventilating. He's not okay about shirtless Hob.
Winter has gifts that are much less horny but still emotionally damaging. Like Hob taking off his own scarf and wrapping it around Dream's neck. Or giving him his coat. Soft caretaking season.
Love that for him. Love Dream getting all these normal moments and a love that burns slow and continuous rather than so hot it burns out.

Since I'm on a Spinner's Guild kick, let's keep going. Ayester ( it sounds like Easter)D'Aster is a courtesan and the house of the Garden of Earthly Delights. Ayester himself is a refugee, fleeing religious war and subsequent genocide in his home country. Ayester serves the Spinner Guild as a Weaver, someone who's job it is to collect, file, and disseminate information. He uses his position at the Garden to recruit spies, to provide central hub of information sharing for the Spinners( in addition to being spies themselves, the courtesan's at the Garden are also handlers for many Spinner's agents) He cashes in on his own unique beauty and mysterious past to attract well off and important clients to the Garden, gathering information on a number politicians, courtiers, and well off merchants. Ayester comes of as distant and lofty to most people, beautiful but in a very obviously inhuman way( Ayester's dragon blood makes him taller than the average human, his skin is bronze, and shines like metal in the sunlight) but he's very kind, very nurturing, and sometimes very, very lonely.
