A hesitation before he spoke. "--there is still rice in the pot. Don't cook more. After all, it is only me, you and that /loud girl/ that eat so much rice." Usually Hanzo would not put aside his stern attitude and give advice to someone who hadn't asked for it, but he hated seeing food go to waste. He suspected Mei-Ling (or Mei-rin, as he called her) was of his same opinion.

Mei glanced up walking over to the pot in question, she had hoped the others would at least try some of her cooking tonight. It seemed to not be the case, as the archer informed her the pot was in fact still a third full. Fortunately, his reflexes were fast she had  not yet opened the new bag of rice and moved to put it back int he cupboard shaking her head.

No need to steam more for seconds if so much remained untouched.

“Looks like you’re right, I thought with the appetites around here more of it would have gone by now...I guess not. Thank you for noticing.” with no further argument on her end she took a spoonful or two more of rice on her plate before starting to place other dishes on the small bed of it she’d created. She didn’t really ever know what to say to the older of the Shimada’s and some days she was surprised to see him here rather than taking off on his own, yet, here they were. Mei was wise enough not to comment or WORSE ask about his brother.

August 20ish-22nd, 2018

These last few days were probably the best days of the whole summer. We stayed inside, watched Netflix, made delicious banana bread and had the best sex we’ve probably ever had in our 5 year relationship 🤤 he he he.. anyyyywaayyyyy 🙃... AJ makes the best banana bread in the entire universe and we finished the whole loaf and I need more!! Sad summer is coming to an end, but so happy to start this school year and better ourselves in so many ways. I love you AJ Ma with all of my heart. You are the best banana bread maker & lover a girl could ask for. Mwah!

PS: I finally got a rice pot for my house so I can make meals and always have fresh rice and it’s the best thing ever and I am so excited to have it and have rice with all of my meals 😊
