When you and Baki first met, nobody expected the two of you to get together. Everyone figured that you would be too quiet and shy for Baki, who used to show off in his youth. But once again, you both surprised everyone.
He admired you for so long, and when you both became adults, things sort of just clicked into place for the two of you. While you were still quiet and timid, Baki was a little less boisterous and a little more caring and gentle. With his years of experience, he climbed high in the ranks and even became the sensei to the Fifth Kazekage when he was younger.
Now you were both in a very healthy relationship and Baki does everything to spoil you and loves you so much. You both complement each other so well. He continues his work as a Suna shinobi and you are an author. When he comes home at night, you’ve always got dinner ready and he knows he can always just settle in your arms and relax. You are a nice and comforting person for Baki.
And with Baki, you knew he would always stand up for you and defend you. Even if people want to make a fuss about you being quiet, he won’t take it. Baki will speak up for you once and then he expects whoever is listening to clearly listen to you. You have a soft voice, and he loves it. He will not let anyone make you feel bad about it.
You’re both walking around the village, saying hi to whoever crosses your path. Baki has the day off and he’s not scheduled to go on any missions for a little while. You love when you’ve got time together like this. You’re able to go out into the village and just walk around while enjoying each other’s company. You’ve got your arm wrapped around him, and he’s got you pulled in close to him as well. Both of you are just enjoying a leisurely stroll.
“Baki senpai!” A voice calls from behind you. You look over and see some of Baki’s comrades. He stops as well and you can feel your face heat up. You are blushing.
“We needed to know something about this mission. It’s about this small village in the land of Fire, and since you’ve been there before, we thought you’d have some advice.” The man on the right explains. He’s looking at you and smiling, but you can’t help but look away.
Baki starts to give them all a little advice, but you are avoiding any eye contact. All these men seem nice, but you are beyond your comfort zone for people surrounding you. This is why you could never be a shinobi...too much crowding.
You clutch Baki’s sleeves as he continues talking to his comrades. You aren’t sure how long this conversation will go on, but you are starting to wish it would end. You know Baki is important, but you can feel your palms get a little sweaty as they continue chatting about the village. One of the men looks at you.
“Hello miss! How are you doing today?” You can feel your face turn red as the question is directed towards you.
“Uh...uhm...I’m good I suppose.” You mutter under your breath as you clutch on Baki’s sleeve.
“Didn’t quite catch that, dear.” This makes you even more embarrassed. Baki notices the tension and he can feel you grab onto him even harder.
“She’s doing fine. Thanks for asking,” Baki finally speaks up for you. He knows his comrades didn’t mean anything by it, but you are embarrassed.
“I’m so glad you two are a couple. You both complement one another so well.” Another one of the men says. He’s a bit older than the others.
You blush at this comment, but it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. You are proud of being Baki’s lover, but you hate how much attention he gets. I guess some things never change in this village.
