OKAY- So I'm writing a Vox x Reader request I got, should come out later today or tomorrow depending on when I wanna finish it, however, I've gotten into more fandoms!!! (Or just wanna write for existing fandoms.)
I recently got back into my ride the cyclone phase and honestly I forgot how much I LOVE noel, So I scanned the internet for fanfics of him, AND I CANT FIND ANY?!??!
I wanna write for him and maybe find someone who writes for him frequently jvdjvdbidbid
ANYWAYS MORE RAMBLE ABOUT NOEL FT. JANE!!!!
Noels lament should be a ballad and Jane's Ballad should be a lament, Based on definition, A ballad is used as an "I want" song And a Lament is used as a way to voice your pain and sorrow. While yes, Noel was experiencing pain, He wasn't exactly saying he was sad by it In fact he *wanted* to be it, Jane didn't want anything besides to be found, however, the song is about her pain and sorrow about dying basically a nobody.
However, I do suppose the title "Noel's lament" could be some form of contradictory factor, Like how he is a gay man, however, pictured himself a woman and a hooker. It could represent the fact that even though he enjoyed the life he thought out, it was still causing him pain and sorrow, therefore could be a lament emotionally and physically, just not mentally. The same thing could happen with Jane's song, She is experiencing pain and sorrow and singing about it, yet she still *wants* something meaningful, Like being known or at least identified, especially since she wasn't at all identified or even searched for. Even her own choir mates didn't know her, she wanted to be somebody to someone.
Jane just had the mentality of "woe is me" (not tryna hate on her, however, she just seemed to be focus on the fact she couldn't remember anything, why, yes, that is her character, I wish she would have developed her own personality over the course of the musical.)
Also, the fact they took away Ricky's crutches kinda just seemed useless(like let him be disabled) tho I understand the reason they unmuted him(he wouldn't have been able to plea his case YK)
Anyways I'm a musical nerd.
