I was tagged by @boudicamelodica to post seven sentences of a WIP and then tag seven people to do the same if they’ve got a WIP.

Thank you for the tag! My only WIP I have right now is JTB, so I offer a sneak peek of one of my favourite parts of the next chapter! (Maybe a little longer than 7 sentences, oops)

“Is this okay?” Daniil asked.

“Yeah,” Artemy let out a long breath, and Daniil felt his ribs deflate beneath his hands.

Uncertainly, Daniil began to venture further, tracing along the sharp jut of his shoulder blades to crest upon his clavicle. From there he let his left hand skirt the length of Artemy’s back, whilst the other took its time following the hard line of his spine, fingers finding the divots in his vertebrae. Beneath him, Artemy’s breaths had slowed, and tilting his head, Daniil could see that his eyes had fallen shut. There was more that he wanted to do, to shower the sharp lines with kisses, the parts of him that had carried the exhaustion when the plague had been at its height, the parts of him that were too often taut with the weight of responsibility, even now. Instead, Daniil stopped his wandering at the soft flesh just above Artemy’s hips, holding to the warmth there as he levered his body forwards to place a gentle pressure upon the menkhu. He noticed Artemy turn to try and look at him just as he came to rest his forehead at the nape of the larger man’s neck.
