Trouble With Sandworms (Sarah and Barbara)

She landed on the ground hard, and let out a surprised cry. Puffs of yellow-orange sand circled around her, then started to settle on her skin and clothes. "Ugh! What did I get myself into now?" Taking in her surroundings, she knew she wasn't in the Underground, or Underland for that matter. Sand dunes surrounded her and there were two moons on the horizon; one normal sized, and one an enormous green orb. The only thing breaking up the landscape were red rock formations jutting up here and there. She definitely wasn't anywhere on earth either. Pushing herself up out of the sand with her hands, she sighed and painfully stood up. Wincing and rubbing her hip, she noticed how covered in sand she was. She could even taste it in her mouth. Spitting it out, she then dusted her clothes off.

Sarah looked right and left, and then made a slow circle. No one direction looked better than the other. Everything looked the same here, so it probably didn't matter which way she chose to go. "Maybe this place isn't as bad as it seems." She talked out loud to herself, trying to sound reassuring. Before she could even so much as take one step the ground beneath her started to shake. "Oh, great." She rolled her eyes in exacerbation. "What now? Earthquakes!?" The sand a few yards away from her started to bubble up out of the ground, and then a giant fin pierced the surface. Sand sharks?!, Sarah thought. You gotta be kidding me! She quickly climbed the rock formation closest to her, scraping her hands on its rough surface. When she reached the top she raised her hand to her mouth, placing it on one of the bleeding cuts. Nervously looking to the ground, she saw the creature circling around her. It wouldn't be able to get her here, she smugly smiled at herself. The proud grin she wore was quickly replaced with horror when the creature raised its girth out of the sand and up to her level. The black and white striped snake-creature opened its mouth, only to let out another mouth. Its jagged teeth hideously surrounded what should have been its tongue, but instead was a tail. She had never seen anything as horrifying in her life, and she jumped off her perch to land hard on the ground again. This time twisting her ankle in the process. She yelled out in pain, but the adrenaline rush wouldn't let her stop to lament about it. Glancing back at it, she saw it was already coming after her.

Sarah harshly drew in as much air as her lungs could contain, before letting it all out in a blood curdling scream. Leaping to her feet, her self preservation instinct kicked in, and she ran. She didn't know to where; she just blindly ran from the monstrosity. "Help! Please! Help me!" Sarah screamed as she continued to run, not knowing if there were any sentient beings in this inhospitable place, but hoping there was.

“Oh, I’ve been quite alright, honey. Adam’s back, and I’m sure that he’d love to see you as well! I know I was.” At her question, Barbara clasped her hands together, nodding. “Lydia, you know that we’d love to!”

"Adam's back?!" Lydia asked as her face lit up and she grinned.

"There's no frogs this time," She informed her and grinned again with a mischievous glint in her eye.
