Poor Jacket.. The tears just.. got me more than I thought they would and I think my heart just broke. I need a minute. All these poor worm babies need to be protected and cherished. :'(
Worms are generally very sensitive, emotional creatures that want to love! And even under the right care they can actually be quite obedient and loyal to species other than just worms. Its pretty foolish to be mean to them tbh. Jacket might love to torture his prey but at the same time he is no real exception to typical worm behavior. He actually started out as somewhat of a shy, nervous worm! believe it or not. And then grew to be very confident and prideful of his body.. of course his pride has just suffered uh…a pretty devastating blow LOL
So, the Shaker finds it rude not to keep eye contact with him? Does that mean you couldn't look away without upsetting him, or you need to sustain eye contact until he breaks it? Sorry, I'm still a bit new to the Shaker but he's so cool.
yeah, he’d pretty much expect you to maintain eye contact with him until he breaks it to look at something else briefly. he isn’t really aware of how difficult that actually is, considering the effect looking directly at him has on the human body lol.
Is it okay if we tag you in stuff? I just found something you might get a kick out of.
sure that’s fine!
Shaker: Chaotic Neutral
YEP PRETTY MUCH
If Knife were to come to terms with the fact that he had children (and locket didn't try to kill him constantly) do you think that he'd like them? Like in a parental kind of feeling at the least, after they know each other a bit better. Or have they been taught that Knife is evil bc of him killing his siblings?
It’d be a very difficult thing for him to confront. Not only is it horribly violating and disturbing that he has no recollection of how they could have been conceived/the events of that, its basically his worst nightmares realized to have.. more of him. Knife did not want kids. He made that p clear since he was a young hek. He was disturbed by hekatons having kids. That continues to be true. Heks having babies is much more gross than them just fucking eachother tho. Its the grossest most worst thing ever.
I think what they mean is that they don't feel like Canary has been a significant character in the plot?
Ah. Well! If that’s the question I can try to answer it a bit easier. (the way it was phrased before was.. idk.. hard for me to understand i guess.. )Much of canary is still a mystery. I like to make you all wait for answers as to why they’re a significant character to the story. You’ll have to just trust that being a king worm is important enough as it is, even without really needing to do anything at all. It is simply the potential of what a king worm can do and the potential of what canary can become is pretty substantial, even without me explicitly explaining what is so special about these king worms. They just important, automatically. All of them. But besides that, Canary is indeed the king worm character in this narrative that gets the most direct attention, so that makes them the most important one to the “major” plots of the story. Although, the way FFAK works, there are almost an endless amount of weaving plots, which are directed by individual character perspectives. Some characters perspectives will not include canary in them at all, or at least not much. Even if King worms still influence their world, canary might not actually be really part of what their life is all about or .. whatever…To backtrack though, why i was confused by the question i guess is that…idk.. ffak characters to me.. dunno, any character is just as relevant as the other one. I could do a whole 500 page chapter on the most minor character just cause I feel like it. Cause its FUN. I also don’t mind waiting a really long time before explaining details about a character. Especially if they have a lot going for them. (An example of this might be, Spoon, who i think is one of FFAK’s most complicated and interesting characters, is also one i will take a really long time to fully articulate..)Also.. as I think more about it… (it being, the question i am trying to answer)The question as to “Why is canary important?” should be something I’d want my readers to think to themselves, or wonder. So that question in itself, is significant, because there’s a tension created with that lack of conclusion. By this character being almost ignored for a great deal of time, I am hoping to cause a little anxiousness by that unresolved aspect of them. It is a little frustrating. It is also a rude way of me diverting your attention from clues. :3c Anyway.. just cuz someone showed up “first”, doesn’t necessarily mean they’re the most important character. which, canary isn’t, unless you the reader feel they are the most important.. then i am not going to tell you you’re wrong believing that. its your opinion, and it can be a totally legit one too. its just depending on your personal tastes.I don’t even mind if ppl think canary is one of the most boring characters in the story even as more details come in. Cause.. i mean.. there’s a lot of competition in that department imo.. im kinda rambling but, hopefully you can see what i mean by significance to plot. it is all based on opinion and personal taste, but canary certainly has a lot going for them in the plot department.
This might be a stupid question but, with Spoon's halves, are their personalities reliant on which side they are? Like, the left is more analytical while the right is more emotionally driven or something?
The only difference they share is that one half wanted to die and the other half didn’t.
