I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate your birthday than with a little crossover between FFXV, which you got me to play this year, and your current obsession of NTWEWY. The idea for it was pretty similar to that picture I did for your birthday nine years ago after we first met online. The one with Sora, Kairi, Neku, and Shiki on a double-date at Hachiko? I think that was the first gift I ever made for you, so it was really fun to revisit the concept but modernized with Sora’s spiritual half-brother and Neku’s successor!

Of course, what really inspired me was Noctis’s constant complaining about the heat every five minutes. ;)

Anyway, have a very happy birthday! I know it’s been a tough year, but hopefully things will start looking up for another one

I wouldn’t have noticed this without the amazing @thestormfall. But I bet she’s right. I bet Square Enix did have the anime slightly change NeShiki’s ending there, so it would parallel Rindo and Shoka in Neo.

(I don’t have the dialogue here, but Neku and Shiki reintroduce themselves and the scene ends with Shiki saying, “We got to meet each other again, Neku!”

And in the NeShiki scene in the anime, Neku takes his headphones off there, like Rindo puts his phone away with Shoka here.

No one talks about how Joshua is using a Romeo and Juliet quote, when he appears to help Rindo and Shoka. And in regards to them.
