june was finally coming to a close, and dawon was determined to end it on a positive note.
while it could easily be considered the worst month she’s had in years, given just how low she’s felt from start to finish, dawon didn’t want to abandon hope. hope is what’s gotten her this far, and hope is the only reason that she continued to persevere. the hope that, one day, she’d make it through this, even if that felt like a far and distant future.
preparations for the evals had gone smoothly, or at least, they’d gone smoothly for dawon. she’d taken a backseat while a few of the other trainees had been hard at work, deciding how the entire performance was going to go. wendy was in charge of line distribution, and she’d taken it upon herself to make dawon the main vocalist. it was ideal, though a part of dawon had felt apprehensive. was she even capable of being the main vocalist right now? after all, she’s been an emotional wreck for the majority of the month—but her newfound determination to not let the team down would have to get her through.
almost all of her free time was dedicated to familiarizing herself with the choreography. she had needed a bit of help learning it at first—help which, to dawon’s relief, min was eager to provide. from there, it had taken hardly any time at all for dawon to get the idea of things—the choreography wasn’t especially difficult to learn, and the training she's received at nova thus far should help to execute it decently. while it was obvious that she wouldn’t be the most impressive dancer on the stage, she could only hope that she wouldn’t be the worst, either.
the music begins as she’s crouched on the ground, and it almost feels like the calm before the storm. could something go wrong? she has no time for doubt, however, not now—now was the time for action, and she’s determined to make it through this month’s evaluation without any problems like she’d faced last month. the fact that she’d actually gotten to practice this time around served to ease her nerves somewhat, but not entirely.
함께 떠나요 시원한 바람 속에
오늘은 다 잊고 그때 우리처럼
when it’s finally her time to sing, dawon tries to ignore the audience, hoping that she’ll manage to let go and live in the moment. she’s reminiscing about a happier time in her life—a time when she sang because it was fun—because it was something that she enjoyed—because it was something that she loved to do rather than something she felt obligated to do. things were so much simpler then, and she wasn’t burdened with even half of the fears that she faced now. if only those times hadn’t ended what felt like an eternity ago.
시간이 멈춰진 듯이 언제나 바랬듯이
REMEMBER REMEMBER REMEMBER
for the first time in a quite some time, her lips manage to form a genuine smile throughout the entirety of the performance. she’s not entirely sure where this new optimism stems from, but she’ll be the last one to complain. maybe she’s starting to realize that she was actually capable of making it through this chapter of her life, no matter how difficult it had proved to be up to this point. while her struggles may be far from over, somehow, things were beginning to feel a little easier to bear.

오늘은 다 잊고 그때 우리처럼
was it even possible to return to the way things used to be? before yoo jiae—before taeha—before the accident—before the loss of her grandfather? would she ever be able to perform freely, unburdened by the sins of her past, again? only time will tell, but, for now, she has to believe that it’s possible. she has to believe that things will get easier. she’s tired of being driven by tragedy. she’s tired of allowing it to define everything that she is. she’s tired of feeling like she’s nothing more than what her past has forced her to be.

if i can live through this, i can do anything. it’s something that junyeong recently said to her, a lyric from a song that he enjoys. junyeong’s seemed rather persistent in helping dawon forgive herself for her past lately, and with good reason; every low mood can ultimately be linked to her past rather than her present or future. but was it possible for dawon to forgive herself for something so terrible that she felt she was responsible for? in her mind, she had ruined junyeong’s life—so why was he still trying so hard to improve hers?
우리 더 늦기 전에
she wants nothing more than to keep moving forward, so why has she always felt the need to look back? was there something in her past that was preventing her from moving on? her past is what made her who she is, she knows—she doesn’t want to forget it, she just wishes that she could make peace with it. while the solution wasn’t going to come overnight, she finds herself yearning to move on—yearning to find that same happiness that had helped her to discover her dream of becoming a singer in the first place, before it’s too late.
어제처럼 느껴지는 순간
she’s spent so much time wanting to succeed for others that she’s forgotten what it’s like to want to succeed for herself. it’s not that she wants to stop drawing strength from others, but more so that she wants to remember what it’s like to believe in herself, too. maybe that’s something that she could work on and eventually learn to do with time; after all, anything is possible, and it felt like a goal that was worth achieving.
시간이 멈춰진 듯이 언제나 바랬듯이

she’s wanted this for so long, yet somehow dawon had lost sight of her dream as she became obsessed with the idea of redeeming herself for her past actions. she had forgotten that this was something that she wanted to do rather than something that she had to do. but, now, dawon was beginning to realize all of the hard work that she’s put forth to get where she is now, and she knows that her younger self would be proud of just how far she’s managed to come.
and, for the first time in a long time, dawon felt like things might be okay.
“i remember those days” the male chuckle as he scroll through old pictures that were saved on his laptop. recently his phone had ran out of storage space and it was time to make room. he doesn’t delete anything, every memory he had was a precious one. a memory that he would keep forever; even if it was a bad one. pressing down on the mouse he continue to look through the old photos. these photos went as far back as to when giriboy wasn’t even a name yet. those time were rough for him but he mange to push through and of course giriboy became this big name rapper in the underground
rough time brought him the biggest support system he had ever had. a support system that he never really forgot but just push to the side. how is she is doing? are you still in school? how’s your family? what was she up to? those were some of many question he wanted to ask her. why did it take so long to realize that he needed to catch up with this person? that’s something he’s still trying to figure out. the bright screen flashes his face as his fingers hovers over the keyboard.

The girls looking beautiful in their costumes even though the red hair wig with the green leaves was a little bit irritable but Minhee will have to manage at least they are secured. The bonus about being poison ivy at least she gets show off her lovely figure which spends time at the gym to create this masterpiece. The older female hugged her girls before going to sit down on the chair in position until Saerom gets up from her chair and clown trap music starts to play then she proceeds to dance her little heart out completely freestyle manner just like they rehearsed. While Minhee & Naeun use their acting skills to look annoyed at each other watching the other dance like it wasn’t part of the plan. The two females get up to grab the crazy little dancer with the audio made comic sounding voices telling her off and making her sit back down in her chair while the girls go back to her seating so the real show could begin....
The sexy poses to the beat of the song as the original choreography then Naeun opens up singing the song in her lovely voice while Minhee followed along keeping to the choreography. The first chorus came along starting off with Saerom follow by Minhee singing with harmonizing together at the bad girls' part to give it more oomph. It didn’t take long for Minhee go into poison ivy mode as she uses her charisma to ooze the sexiness of this character she playing in this performance even though those lyrics pretty much sums up Minhee’s do in day to day life, she does work rigorously for success and love innocently maybe she is bad girl after all. The choreography of this part made her giggle so many times in practice when she goes to pretend to kiss Saerom in the routine since she is poison ivy and poison kisses are her weapon plus it is noted in research there are people who put Harley & Ivy together as a power couple so it felt right. Thankfully, she did not giggle but she smiles instead to repress the instinct to giggle instead. The main dance is very simple so it wasn’t very difficult to learn so she didn’t struggle but she did love spinning around in a circle like some comic book superhero changing into a costume which she found very cute. The main thing she kept in her mind was to have fun with it and embrace the role she was playing being cheeky even little daring too.
When Minhee was watching the performance videos of Katie Lee she noticed that she tends to flirt and play with the camera so she decided to learn from this yet instead she would flirt with the coaches during the performance plus be playful with the girls who she performing alongside and let be honest it was pretty fun to do. This is her version of messing about but it is all for the performance to give it that little something special. Minhee does admire Katie Lee as an artist and that’s why she tends to cover her songs in evaluations but she isn’t sure she would thrive as well under her company so she is glad to be part of the sphere family instead.

it’s agonising how the heat is so immense that she’s dying to get out of the yongsan already. she doesn’t know what she’s doing there but a trip around the city didn’t seem too bad. this part of the city, she didn’t mind but sometimes people were round and loved to shove around without saying an excuse me. unfortunately for her, she bumps into someone but this could be an opportunity for her to pass out one of the flyers out of her reach. “hi um..” she doesn’t know how to start but she does it anyways, hand out a flyer. “i know this is weird but can you please take one? you can toss it after, i just need to get rid of them. thank you!”
It was strange how people came a-flocking even when the heat was unbearable. They pushed their way forward, without much mercy to people shorter and weaker to themselves. It annoyed Kang Joon despite his height and his strenght to fight against the consistent pushing. And when someone bumped into him, he almost snapped. When he saw the face of a female, he held himself back from losing his temper and listened to what she had to tell him. Her request even though she just run into him was pretty eyebrow raising, but he took the flyer anyway without many words. He nodded at her and mumbled. “Thank you and good luck.” Probably they would see each other again sooner than she might expect, since trainees of all companies tended to work together eventually. Until then he wished her all the best for her training.
manicured fingers tapped the slim glass that held her champagne, her dark eyes scanning the ballroom’s floor as she stood off to the side trying her best not to engage in a lengthy conversation with just about anyone there. although chaeyeon had moved out and was completely independent of her family, she continued to attend the philanthropic galas and auctions her family participated in. her parents always required it due to maintaining the family’s image and all, which basically was what she was only there for: an image. she didn't mind it, after all there was the free food, the free drinks and the fact that the event might help someone or something in need out there. what she hated, however, was how long and tedious these things dragged out to be and also, no doubt, she hated talking to the people there. they'd always ask her the same things and tell her the same things to the point where she’d get so annoyed, her faux smile would begin to fade. it was entirely monotonous.
as soon as she spotted naeun, her eyes lit up and she breathed a sigh of relief. at least there’s someone here she can talk to. waltzing over to her friend, chaeyeon managed to place her now-empty champagne glass on a passing server’s silver tray, while her relief became evident on her features in the form of a beam. “ naeun! ” she reached out to gently hug her friend in greeting, before swiftly pulling away. her voice was slightly hushed as to avoid any eavesdropping, but her genuine smile remained intact. " oh thank gosh you’re here naeun, how are you holding up? ” a groan. “ i hate how boring these things are. ”
The sun was hot, even for the early morning, and Yuta had to wipe the sweat from his brow as the song came to an end. No matter how much Yuta liked Raehwan’s song, in the rising heat, it was slightly less fun to endure from beginning to end. His fingers pressing to his sleeve, noticing some of the smudge that lingered on the fabric and rolling it up into itself. After a few hours, people switched from energised to trying their best to appear energised. Not that that stopped Yuta from exhaling a laugh as he jogged lightly to pick up the bottles of water from the stand, TRC label on them and glanced over to offer a smile at his fellow trainees. Soccer taught him to conserve energy and endure; he liked to think he was good at that.
Condensation dripping, a cold chill at his fingertips as he turned around, searching for someone who made eye contact with him; a girl being the first. His eyes curving, grinning broadening as he hid any discomfort. He’d managed to perform with a broken arm, he could smile through the heat and sweat. A gentle bow at his waist as he came up to her, holding out the bottle of water and then nodding as he urged it. “It must be hot out here watching! You should drink plenty of water!” Yuta happily chirped, almost hoping that she wouldn’t brush him off for one of the more well known trainees. It’s not that it hurt his pride that no one knew his name; he would make them know his name. But they could at least give him a chance.
how long more until this is over with? she looks at the heavy stacks of papers in her hand, unenthusiastically roaming around the city to give out whoever to who that passes by (but not just like that because decency has to remain in the air even if it seems thin and loose). “hello!” she doesn’t know how to reach out to the other girl, who’s seemingly tall as well but she comes with a friendly smile. “so i have this mission.. to hand out flyers, would you like to take one?” she doesn’t shove it out to the girl’s face but merely takes it out where it’s all folded, just in case if she was interested.
she’s not even surprised anymore when she’s suddenly stopped on the streets, or when she spots a stack of flyers within their hands, eager to give them away to anyone willing to take one. nana almost wants to look straight ahead, to ignore the girl in order to get to her destination on time, but there’s something about the other’s demeanor that causes her to stop, causes her to listen to what she has to say ( even though she’s heard many variations within the past month alone. ) and yet nana still grins at the girl, still takes from her hands because years ago she could relate to her struggle, remembers how awful it was to pass out flyers in this type of heat. flashing a smile at the girl, she nods and takes the paper from her, not bothering to look at what company it belongs to as she replies, “sure. oh, and congratulations on your contract, by the way, and good luck!”
