The website says... "The volumes that contain each separate zone have a single aperture from which each sun-lighting event can be enjoyed. Each of the volumes is slightly elevated and independent from the others, requiring a desert walk on footpaths to move between them. These paths connect visitors to the land and reinforce the house’s purposeful isolation. Our desire to care for the site’s fragile nature prompted the elevation of the volumes, allowing water and animals to move freely beneath them. This way, the landscape of eons ago remains as undisturbed as possible despite this strong visual intervention."😉

My Granny's House

A small, 2B/1B/Carport, mid-century, cement block, Florida house.

This is my Granny's House - a retirement/down-sized dwelling in Spring Hill, Florida. (aka: Sprung Hill - no offense to those who live there now... but I lived there way back when it had dirt roads and not much else!) The development started in '69, under the Mackle Brothers/Deltona "brand"; this house was built in 1971. It is less than 1000 square feet, has a carport - with a separate laundry room, and a small storage room. It is two bedrooms and one bath - though the second bedroom is hardly bigger than the bed! The yard is small. The neighborhood is packed. And every house looks the same.

based on a RL semi-detached, freehold property in England Both Houses 3 bedrooms - 1 bathroom - 1 driveway small/economical houses - pet friendly - fully fenced back yards/gardens ~~~ No CC! ~~~ I found the original inspiration on-line through RightMove.UK

Both of these houses are very small, with equally small price-tags: $47K and $53K, fully furnished. No CC. The kitchens are fully equipped, with fire alarms and telephones installed. There are grill areas outdoors. 

The bedrooms do not have any "luxury" space, but beds are accessible and the night-tables are dressers. 

I have included various skill-building items, where I could fit them in. Both houses have: a dart board, chess table, bookcase, easel, toybox, and TV.

Micro House Starter House based on RL house in Hohenecken, Germany This is a sloped lot - the back of the lot is slightly higher than the front. 1 bedroom - 1 bathroom - carport - pet friendly - ~~~ No CC! ~~~ I found the original design on-line through deZeen. The architects describe the form as "familiar and yet strange". "Depending on the angle it appears small and compact or long and slim," they explained. "A space continuum with differentiated spatial impressions ranging from narrow and wide, low and high to small and large."

Bellaire Classic Modular 2-Story Home 3 bedrooms - 2.5 bathrooms - garage - front porch and patio in back - No CC This is a pet-ready (doggie specific) home. I built it for a large, middle-income, family in Riverblossom Hills. The yard has plenty of space in back for gardening. I hope you have a family who will like living here too. Enjoy! I was able to build this one pretty much exactly to the original Floor Plan, with the exception of one bathroom. The extra upstairs bathroom is not included.

The garage and internal stairs were made with Mootilda's Grid Adjuster. The lot has been shrunk to 20X40 with Mootilda's Lot Adjuster. Thank you, Moo! Cube House ~ Modern 4B/4.5B with Rooftop Patio - Build CC Only

I was browsing the web for modern house designs... ya know, like you do :eyeroll: When this one caught my eye - with the Headline: Ultra-modern Kitsilano cube house listed for $8.9M This incredibly contemporary, uber-cool cube house in Kitsilano has been listed for $8,998,000 - making it the top-priced new Vancouver listing of last week... (click through to read the rest of the article and see some interior pictures.) After a bit more research I found out the house was built in 2017, designed by Tony Robbins, an award-winning architect, and originally listed at $14-million. I also found a few 'concept' designs and partial floor plans. SOLD! I was hooked. I gotta sim this one! :D Here is some of the "research" I used to 'sim' this house:

I do think my version has an extra floor? I read that it had 4 stories; so the sim-version has a (story 1) basement, (story 2) 1st/ground floor, (story 3) 2nd floor, (story 4) 3rd floor, plus the rooftop patio. But I think maybe the realtor counts the rooftop as story 4? If so, then my 3rd floor doesn't exist in real life. Also, I think the RL ceilings are higher - so that the 3 internal stories (not the rooftop) take up as much height-space as 4 sim-ceiling height stories. Does that even make sense? :blink: LOL! I'm 'eyeball' measuring from the RL window placement. ...However, after dealing with TS2 modular stairs for a while - I decided to take the easy way and not CFE-in taller ceilings. So, you get an extra floor in this house - and a few added windows too. Because, unlike real sunlight, in TS2 - sunlight can NOT be reflected about through the skylight and down the stairwell to light up the inside of the cube... It sounds like an awesome feat though!  I bet in RL, the natural light inside this house "galvanized cube" is amazing. *sigh*

1920's Vintage Home Design ~ 3b/1b Craftsman Bungalow, 28th in the Series

The twenty-eighth house in my "1920s Series" - inspired by 62 Beautiful Vintage Home Designs from the 1920s - is another Craftsman Bungalow. It might look a lot like #26 in the series - but it is completely different! This one includes a "Breakfast Nook" - the only obvious dining area - in the kitchen. (If I was the agent on duty I'd call it a Dining Nook ...why limit it to breakfast?) I agree with the brochure - the charm of this house lies in the wide front porch and the long sloping roof.
