The Hunt for Plus Size Scrubs have begun!

I'm a plus size gal working every day to get healthier. Currently I'm at 4x clothing around size 24-26. Even though I'll probably drop down in size by the time my CNA program rolls around, I'll still be plus size. I took advantage of Amazon's try before you buy program and ordered some Cherokee brand scrubs that were allegedly size 4x lol more like 2x! Anyone have any recommendations on brands and styles y'all find comfy that are true to size? Thanks in advanced!

I'm freaking out

I took NCLEX today and it shut off at 76 questions. I felt like the exam was really difficult. I felt like I got things I had never heard of. I'm scared I failed. It seemed so difficult. I need a pep talk

Passed the TEAS!

I did it!!! passed my TEAS entrance exam and now I can turn in my schools RN Program application!

For a minute there, I wasn't so sure I would even take the test! What do I mean by that? If you're interested I'll do a story time down the road, so let me know but for now...I passed! My score? 85.3%

Since the week just ended I thought I would start this idea of posting some of my favorite moments or selfies of the last week. Enjoy !

1st Day of RN clinicals.

Clinicals start at 0600 and I live a little over an hour away from the site. Getting up at 0330 is AMAZING. 😂

Coffee has officially become an addiction.

Our site is a memory care lock down unit.

We have each been assigned one resident to complete our patho packet on.

99% of my cohort have been working several years as CNAs or LPNs, myself included.

We are not allowed to transfer, bathe, toilet, or complete vital signs on our patients.

We’re there until 1430.

All of us kind of felt like:

The facility we’re at is understaffed, and we can all 100% empathize with that. (We have all gone through our LTC days)

So we all feel incredibly guilty for asking the CNAs and LPNs questions when we know they’re busy.

We all thought our patient would be our one patient to care for for the entire day (bath, dress, vitals, take to meals and activities).

I couldn’t even meet my patient today, because they were on lockdown for potential flu.

Things will be better once our instructor is sure on WTF we’re supposed to be doing.

For now we’ll go through their charts and work on our patho packet, while occasionally mingling.
