my fave rnh fact is that he missed a year of hockey in his teens bc his parents were going through a divorce and his dad was diagnosed with cancer so they didn't have the time/money to get him to hockey. BUT he STILL managed to get drafted 1st overall in the WHL draft and then obvs went first overall in 2011. (And then finished second in calder voting despite missing a bunch of the season to a injury)
