You know what would make this even more interesting? If Desmond was the baby brother of Altaïr. (yeah Altaïr is an alpha :3) And Desmond's existence is kept a secret because he's an omega. And Altaïr can get very overprotective too so that doesn't help.

Robert kidnaps Desmond not knowing that it wasn't Altaïr. And shinanigins happen in the Templar base

And uhh yeah that's all I got. OH AND Maria is an alpha and she and Desmond are besties.

That's all!

Desmond may be an omega but he was (secretly) trained by his brother to be able to kick ass and run away quickly.

Honestly, it wasn’t even Robert’s plan to kidnap ‘Altaïr’. The Templars learn of the traitor’s favorite attack dog and the remnants of Basilisk’s faction (which Robert had taken care of after the man’s death to stabilize his rule) figured that presenting said attack dog to Robert would be their ticket to safety.

Then Robert realized that they gave him some random omega (they don’t know what Altaïr looks like) from Masyaf, they get killed.

Robert tries to be a gentleman since this is all a misunderstanding and he has no qualm with omegas in general but the omega tries to kill him so he had to lock up the omega.

That’s where Maria comes in.

Maria becomes Desmond’s guard because she has the self-control of a monk that had let go of all connection to the physical world.

Or, as Desmond calls it, the self-control of someone who actually cares about other people’s consent and boundaries.

Really, revolutionary stuff in this time.

Yes.

Because Desmond remembers dying in Dec 21, 2012.

Not only that…

Desmond was an alpha back then.

He has made peace with being an omega this time around. In all honesty, he preferred being an omega because (1) no one looks at him like he was a failure because no one expects anything of him from the start and (2) it was easy to keep an eye on Altaïr and help him have a better life this time around as his omega twin.

Sure, Altaïr was overprotective and keeps saying that all alphas are scum (“you’re an alpha too” “yes and I’m also a scum, never trust any alpha”)

And he had been planning to kill Robert but he’d take corrupting Maria to become a turncoat as a consolation prize instead.

Honestly, he has fucked up this timeline so badly that he doesn’t even know if Maria and Altaïr would end up together because Desmond accidentally matched Altaïr and Kadar (who was an omega).

Who knows? Maybe they can make it a threesome, Desmond is honestly just hoping Altaïr doesn’t get the wrong idea and assume Maria is a scum alpha going after his younger brother like every other alpha out there in his eyes.

Anyway…

His corruption was going well, he thinks, until Robert starts visiting.

And just… talking to him.

It’s even weirder when his visits turned into daily afternoon tea and Desmond is full on suspicious of what Robert is trying to pull.

Robert, on the other hand, honestly just wants to get to know Desmond because…

He believes they’re fated mates.

Desmond seemed to have no idea that they are though so he’s trying to woo him.

Desmond, on the other hand, mistakes it (sorta?) to mean that Robert fell in love with him and…

Well…

The power an omega wielded over an alpha was dependent on the alpha’s personality.

And Robert…

… was a pushover.

(He’s not. He’s absolutely not. Maria knows he’s not. Maria also believes Desmond is a sweet innocent omega who might faint if she tells him that the alpha courting him was only a kind gentleman to people he likes and the only person in that list is Desmond)

So… to test Robert, Desmond requested that he be returned home and for Robert to court him and do the whole ‘shebang’ in the presence of all of Masyaf.

Al Mualim can’t do shit because Robert comes in peace and everyone agrees that the sanctity of courting should be upheld.

Altaïr is totally against it and Al Mualim has to play more or less as referee between the two while trying to sabotage this so he would have an excuse to attack the Templars.

“What do you see in him?”

It was a good question. The kind of question Desmond expected from his twin brother.

He knew Al Mualim would start scheming and shit if he was to reply that Robert was a pushover for omegas.

So he just says…

“I like his bald head.”

Smashcut to Altaïr trying to shave off Malik’s hair because Malik is a much better choice than some Templar scum.

Malik does not want to have to do anything about this entire thing. He also considers Desmond as an omega brother like Kadar and does not want to mate with him so, really, the two of them are wrestling at this point.

Assassin's Creed 1 Remake wishlist

If Black Flag Resynched is a success, AC1 is getting remade next.

This is what I'd like to see changed.

Altair should be voiced by his AC:Revelations voice actor as I think it sounds more authentic and sounds more like a Syrian Assassin than where the first game was just an American accent.

Add in the crossbow that was cut from the game. It pissed me off to no end that this was cut. Why have it in the trailer/game intro and not have it in the game??? And I don't want to hear Ubisoft's "historical inaccurate" like when have these games been historically accurate??? The historical inaccuracy reason is in and of itself inaccurate since handheld crossbows have existed since a thousand years before Altair's time in Ancient China. Canonically, Altair did own a crossbow since he had one in Altair's Chronicles. The reason he doesn't have it anymore in AC1 is because we see him discard it in the cinematic trailer after assassinating the executioner. I personally think that the events shown in the trailer are canon and must have happened at some point before Altair was sent to Solomon's Temple.

Combat:Moving away from the simple timing-based combat towards a more intense, less repetitive system.

Parkour/movement. Replacing the original, clunkier system with more modern, fluid movement, such as in Black Flag or the Ezio Trilogy.

The Black Box assassinations. Anyone who´s played Unity or Syndicate you know what I´m talking about. And this fits perfectly well with AC 1´s structure of having 3 targets per city. Imagine having black boxes with opportunities. Imagine having more freedom in assassinations, so for example in the hospital mission you would have to blend in but have the chance to let a patient escape and distract guards. The possibilities are endless and would improve the tedious assassinations so much.

Investigation Loop: Replacing repetitive investigation missions (pickpocketing/eavesdropping) with diverse, in-depth investigations, potentially allowing players to choose how they gather intelligence for the black box assassinations.

World & Exploration: Adding more activities and secrets to the cities (Masyaf, Damascus, Acre, Jerusalem) and enabling Altaïr to swim.

Narrative Expansion: Expanding upon Altaïr’s story, the lore of the Assassins, and expanding on cut content or adding new scenes that connect to later games.

Modern Day: Refining the modern-day gameplay to make it more engaging, as for how, I'm not sure. I just want more than bed, animus, talk to Lucy and bed. Do more for Desmand.

DLC:Adapt Altair Chronicles, Bloodlines and Last Crusade to expand upon Altair's story. Something similar to AC:Chronicles that tells us how Altair became a Master Assassin, what happens after AC1 and his romances with Adha and Maria.

I'd love to see vast improvements like combat, parkour, more world building, less repetitive gameplay and more post game content, especially believe Altair deserved more compared to Ezio and the Kenway dynasty. I think this because it was truly unfair that Altair the man responsible for reforming and saving the Assassin Order gets so little love and only one game and there is so much more that can be done and told for the true Mentor and Old Eagle. Altair deserved so much more.

Day Two Eagle

Desmond Miles was a bit of a unique case in terms of an assassin. He was descended from those who's names or titles bore Eagle in them. Which was both a source of pride and pain for Desmond.

Jamie Ella Tundra the warrior of the mind with the Blood of Kings didn't have eagle companions or naming but her Parton goddess Athena was an owl. Another great bird of prey.

Shay's name in full meant noble hawk son of ravens which included two birds of prey and Shay moved like them as well.

Robert De Sable, Malik Al-Sayf, and Kadar Al-Sayf all knew Altaïr ibn-La'Ahad, whose name was Flying One Son of None. And one of Desmond's ancestors.

Lastly Leonardo Da Vinci knew Desmond's other ancestor Ezio Auditore. Ezio's full name meant listening Eagle.

This was a cobbled together family but family none the less.

Brand new fic from an author I love so I immediately had to write a fic rec for it.

Summary on Ao3 is:

“When the swift strike of a blade leaves Robert de Sablé balancing on death's doorstep, he comes to the realization that the life he's lived isn't the one he wants to face judgement for in the eyes of God. He fears his chance to make amends has passed until he wakes days later to the kindness of strangers who saved his life.

With a second chance in his grasp, he casts aside the old Templar Grandmaster he was- a man who was dead and gone as far as Robert was concerned. He left the Holy Land to return to the place of his birth to start fresh.

Content with the peaceful life he has slowly built these last few years, Robert never expected the deadly Eagle of Masyaf whose blade left a gruesome scar upon his throat, to show up in France.”

So this is the same writer for Fight or Flight, which I recommended a while back (Fic Rec 5). And this is another Robert de Sable x Altaïr fic. Only one chapter has been published so far and it’s already amazing. BlueEyedArcher has absolutely proven themself to be a fantastic author in my experience.

The story has barely begun but it’s so eloquently written it’s undoubtedly a pleasure to read. It’s so beautiful and the depiction of the world is so vivid it almost feels like you can see it.

BlueEyedArcher is the only big author I’ve really seen for the Robert x Altaïr ship and they do a fantastic job of writing it. It’s so far beyond canon that it takes a strong bit of world building and character exploration to put them together. Despite that, it never feels like it’s too ooc or distractingly breaking canon. Obviously it breaks canon, those two could literally never end up together based on canon, but it still feels authentic to the world the games built in key ways that really make it comfortable for anyone who’s a fan of Assassin’s Creed.

There’s only one chapter posted so far so I can’t go into detail obviously, but I am so excited to see where BlueEyedArcher goes with this!
