Summary:

Sun, sea, and zero interruptions: Robert whisks Aaron away to a luxurious Tenerife villa the second revenge threats from their exes turn ugly. Three weeks of private pools, lazy lie-ins, ridiculous banter, and Robert determined to pamper his grumpy man into total relaxation mode.

one of my favourite things about Robron, and do correct me if I’m wrong because I might be remembering things with rose-tinted glasses, is how Rob seems to right away just accept the way Aaron is, without question. I’m mainly talking about his grumpiness, defensiveness and temper - he gets comments about it so often, gets criticized for it, some people seem directly unsure of how to deal with it, or are altogether put off by it. which is understandable, I admit. but I can’t remember Rob ever making a deal out of Aaron’s grumpy default mode, he seems to just know how to respond to it and deal with it and seems pretty unbothered by it from the start. Aaron doesn’t need to make an effort to be calmer or more polite around Rob, which he seemed to do around Alex, and does around Ben (admittedly often not successfully). though ofc Rob also provokes Aaron a lot more than the two previously mentioned, but still. :’) he just seems to see Aaron for who he is and truly enjoy being around him without wanting to change him - and in response, Aaron is softer and more open with him than he is with anyone else. I strangely miss Aaron in a sense, since Rob left, because there is a side to him that we don’t get to see when Rob isn’t there. a little bit in interactions with Liv, but it’s not quite the same. if you look at him from Ben or Mackenzie’s perspective, it’s no wonder that they find it strange to imagine Aaron having been married and domesticated, because they don’t know the person that he is with Rob.

Domestic Robron #6

kicking off 2018 with a bit of a fluffy drabble

“Dance with me”. Robert said, towel slung carelessly over his shoulder.

“You’re cooking dinner” Aaron eventually said too shocked at first to reply after what Robert had suggested.

A smug smile tugged at Roberts lips “I can multitask”.

“I don’t dance” Aaron said. He’d been perfectly ok with sitting at the table watching Robert make dinner and texting Adam.

“Liv and Gerry aren’t home, there’s nobody here other then me to witness your terrible dancing and I promise I won’t hold your two left feet over your head”. As he talked Robert slowly approached Aaron and gently reached out his hand.

Robert took Aarons hand replacing the phone that had previously been held there and he pulled the grouchy man to his feet.

Aaron was fighting to keep his face looking like he thought this was all ridiculous and he did think this was all ridiculous but he also tho8ght it was pretty sweet and he was struggling to not let his lips twitch even slightly into a smile.

“There’s no music” Aaron pointed out. For somebody who didn’t want to do this he was enjoying tangling his and Roberts fingers together softly.

“There’s this great and amazing invention known as phones and the internet” Robert replied phone already hand. A few seconds later and the soft sound of a song Aaron didn’t know the name of was playing.

“See. Now you’ve got no more excuses” Robert said resting his phone down and taking Aarons other hand and pulling him close.

Aaron rolled his eyes but smiled. One benefit of Robert being a few inches taller was that Aarons head fit perfectly on Roberts shoulder. Especially like this, chest to chest, hands holding, fingers entwined.

And so that’s what he did, he placed his head into Roberts shoulder and they held each other close, swaying slightly to the slow rhythm of the music.

Basking in the Sun

One thing Robert had always known, was that his and Aaron’s relationship was based on an immense mutual attraction. It had been their one reason for starting the affair; they just couldn’t keep their hands to themselves. Robert had been attracted to every part of Aaron. His short hair, his blue eyes, his tight set mouth, and his body. Their first few encounters had been a mess of touching, kissing, licking and biting every single bit of skin they could get their hands (or mouths) on. However, Robert had never imagined Aaron be the one with a weird fixation; his back.
