I love the idea of Ratchet and Rodimus both carrying at the same time. I headcanon Cybertronians get clingy when they carry, and that’s especially true for Roddy because Nyonians are very tactile.
Imagine Ratchet hugging Roddy close when they are both in berth, peppering his helm with kisses while Roddy purrs into his bared pouches. Sometimes if they feel playful, they hand-feed each other energon treats and steal bites via kisses <3 Roddy never knew Ratchet has so much flirt in him before carrying :3
Also. Scissoring. Two beautiful carrying mechs moaning into each other’s mouths. Consider.
With peace love and joy I need rodimus whimpering. I really don’t care who it’s with, drift, Megatron, drift and Megatron, ratchet, drift and ratchet, Magnus, brainstorm Percy double feature but tbh the one thing that always makes my brain bone go awooga is when Rodimus has that little drop at the end, all whimpering and twitching, turning that sweet captain into a fucked out mess.
Rodimus, after Ratchet laughed at one of his jokes: I am doing fantastic. I am going to get a good grade in Ratchet, which is both normal to want and possible to achieve,
Other tags: d/s dynamics, playfighting, biting, and voyeurism.
Summary:
“Oh, don’t let me interrupt,” Ratchet said, mostly to cover up the fact that he wasn’t quite sure what he was supposed to do at this part. “You seem like you have him right where you want him, Drift. At last.”
“Hey, you try getting this little brat to do as he’s told,” Drift said, snickering when Rodimus let out a squawk of protest at the word brat. Without looking away from Ratchet, he reached down and patted Rodimus’ cheek condescendingly. Rodimus renewed his squirming.
“Absolutely not,” Ratchet said, “That’s what I have you for.”
It comes out as a joke. Teasing. Slips out impetuously, which tends to happen worse than usual when Rodimus is woozy from energon loss, and proximity to Ratchet when he's like this is akin to putting kindling near a fire. Ratchet should've--would've usually brushed it off. Ratchet and Rodimus have this play by play memorized, they got it down to a science, there are rules, even if they haven't properly addressed them, and this is going off script into dangerous territory.
Ratchet stares at Rodimus for a long, heavy moment, long enough that Rodimus's winning smile wobbles uncertainly. He'd expected an eye roll. An indignant huff. A snarky come back just shy of flirting back, as a joke. Tit for tat. Instead, Ratchet stares at Rodimus severely, brow pinched in concern rather than his usually ornery frown, the edges of his lips tight and thin. Rodimus flounders, eyes owlishly round.
Wordlessly, Ratchet dips down and presses a kiss to the surface level scuff on Rodimus's cheek guard, firm and mutedly passioned. Ratchet pulls back to catch Rodimus's eye, and his gaze is a storm of worry. Rodimus swallows thickly. If Ratchet is diverting from the script, then he will too.
"Missed a spot,"
"Tell me where," Ratchet says, roughly, subdued. Rodimus raises a surprisingly steady finger to his lips and taps a nigh negligible cut there. Ratchet licks his lips and leans in to kiss that better too.
The kiss should be short, but it isn't. The second their mouths connect, Rodimus gasps, and Ratchet takes the chance to slip his tongue into Rodimus's waiting mouth. Rodimus clings to him, and Ratchet clings back, and they trade desperate kisses under a crumbling, makeshift shelter on the far edge of the battlefield.
Eventually, Ratchet pulls back far enough to press their foreheads together, steady hands cupping the back of Rodimus's head and rubbing soothing circles into the dented plating.
"Never do something that stupid again," Ratchet says. He knows it's a foolish demand. Risking his life to save others is just what Rodimus does, and Ratchet both loves and hates Rodimus for his selflessness.
"I won't," Rodimus lies, and Ratchet loves him terribly for the effort, flimsy as it is. Rodimus noses Ratchet's cheek, his clever, too sharp smile finding its place back on his lips. "So long as you promise to be there to kiss it better,"
