I want Jonathan and Robin to be super close in s5, close to the point that Steve secretly starts feeling jealous of them, thinking he's losing his best friend to him like how he "lost" Nancy too, but that is all until Robin reassures him that it's not the case rather Steve is still her best friend, and he'll always be her best friend like duh what on earth even is this question and where did it even come from? It's just that she and Jonathan are more or less the same person, like Mike and Max are, so they're basically twins but it doesn't matter because Steve is her best friend, her partner in crime, her brother, soulmate, her everything...and Jonathan is just...another her?

So yeah basically he understands that losing Robin to Jonathan, in fact to anyone is absolutely out of the question and he really didn't "lose" Nancy to him either, it's just that Steve and Nancy weren't ever meant to be so instead of being awkward and being rivals just for the sake of being rivals, Jonathan and Steve become close buddies too and the four of them live happily ever after just like that

i feel like jonanbin/ronathan baking cookies would end up with robin trying to throw flour at nancy but failing every time, and jonathan being the only one baking bc nancy was too busy trying to get robin to not get flour on her but the cookies would be great, bc jonathan is secretly amazing at cooking. though robin would help with the shaping of the cookies and nancy would make sure all the measurements were good and like they would take turns with the electric whisk and the attachments would fall in atleast once.
