recent posts about rookrid got me excited so i dug out this little thing from a couple months ago

Does anyone else wish there were more Mer! Riddle fics? But like instead of one of the Octatrio finding out his secret, it's SOMEONE ELSE? Like- imagine Rook going about his day stalking people as usual, when he suddenly spots Riddle lurking about suspiciously in the woods.

So what does he do? Why the only natural course of action would be to investigate of course! So low and behold, does he find himself face to face with Riddle letting his tail or whatever merform out to breath in a nearby body of water hidden deep within the forest.

Mind you, Riddle didn't realize Rook was spying on him and Jade during P.E, it was Jade who actually noticed him. So there's no way Riddle would ever realize he was being watched in that moment. Thus, Riddle's finally in his element for once and Rook's been rendered completely awestruck that quickly changes into interest.

Bonus points if Riddle's merform's actually a really rare species that he so happened to inherit from his greatgrandparents or some other distant relative despite the human blood in his veins. The chances were low but unfortunately for Mrs. Rosehearts, never zero..

rook x riddle hcs?

oh what an odd pair

When he's gone, Riddle will steal Rook's hat and just take it with him, not on his head just, in his bag and stuff, and put it next to him when he's studying or smth

Rook sleeps shirtless. Riddle didn't know that. He fell asleep before Rook and, when he woke up, buff chest in his face, he was so red

Rook also has a very deep morning voice and always says, "Bonjour, ma belle rose" (Good morning, my beautiful rose) and Riddle is so in love but cant express it cuz hes broken-

While studying, Riddle will bury his face in Rooks hair cuz its so soft and just study like that

farmer rook x noble/royal riddle hcs?

Kinda how it is already lol

Rook always oohs and ahhs over riddle and riddles just like, "I'm just wearing a cashmere top and black pants, what-"

Riddles staff are confused af on where there's a farmer in the castle

Rook will follow riddle around like a puppy and everyone was concerned at first till riddle held Rooks hand

Riddle has only kissed Rook in public once and that was cuz he was jealous

Rook loves to brag abt his bf and Riddle is both embarrassed by it and likes it
