She is the daughter of James Hook and Anamaria Morgie.
She is eight years old in d3 (two years younger than Chloe and Red).
Hazel's a space pirate like those from Treasure Planet.
She also has a green and yellow parrot named ‘Short Tom’ that follows her everywhere. She also has a pet shark named ‘Dreadfin’ that Uma gave her.
Hazel, like Cj, does not have a crew of her own despite referring to her many friends (mainly Squeaky and Squirmy) as such.
And she often drags her non-pirate friends (The Smee Twins stopped being pirates after d3, mind you) into her shenanigans.
Hazel does not like children—she doesn't hate them or wish them harm by any means. She'd just rather not be around them if she can help it.
She's not good with kids, alright?
She and Princess Pink have a whole enemies-to-friends-to-lovers dynamic going on.
Hazel’s a bit mean to Pink during the Auradon Kingdom Cup Games but eventually the two of them join forces to win the competition.
Her eyes do that ‘turning red when mad’ thing that her dad and siblings have going on. It's very intimidating when you get on her bad side.
Hazel's weapons of choice are a cutlass and a flintlock pistol but she has many other smaller weapons hidden on her person.
She also carries a grappling hook around because it makes for a quick escape in appropriate areas.
She prefers headphones over earbuds.
Hazel is familiar with Felix but before the games they're not really close and she has trouble remembering their name (was given this idea by @trashfr0g ).
She used to call him ‘cootie kid’ (was given this idea by @trashfr0g ).
Hazel didn't meet her parental family till she was eight.
She only met them at this age because she was snooping to find out who her dad was and upton discovering that Captain Hook was the common consensus amongst the rest of the pirates on the isle for how her dad could be, took off to meet her siblings.
Hazel just kind of showed up and hung around Harriet, Ginny (also Hook’s daughter), Harry, Cj, and Ally (also Hook’s daughter, but she was adopted by Alice and Pinocchio) as if she'd been there from the beginning.
All of them, save for Cj and Ally, were far too tired to question it. Cj and Ally, on the other hand, questioned it immediately and instead of doing the responsible thing (i.e telling the others ‘hey this kid hasn't been here for the past eight years wtf’) they instead decided to commit to the bit.
It wasn't until a very angry Anamaria stormed into both Hook's Inlet and Shack as well as Hook's Clock and Curiosity Shop (owned by Jasper Hook, brother of Captain Hook) & Serpent Prep (were Grandmama Hook and Great Grandmumsie Hook were teaching) did any of the older Hook siblings and James realize what was going on.
It should be noted that Jasper Hook who avoids his brother due to him killing him, Great Grandmumsie Hook, Hook’s siren wife, and Grandmama Hook all assumed that Hazel was just a friend of the other Hook children.
Harriet, Ginny, and Harry all insist that they knew all along that Hazel wasn't in their lives from the beginning but no one believes them. On a side note, they've started drinking more water.
Hazel is a student at The Serpent Preparatory School for the Education of Miscreants, or as it's known for short— Serpent Prep—until it gets shut down and she transfers to Auradon Prep (very much against her will, mind you).
Hazel spent a lot of her time growing up hanging around Harriet and Harry's crews, as well as Cj’s friends. She also spent a lot of time hanging out around the clubs the sea three were a part of—since she's rather close to them.
Out of her siblings, Hazel is the closest to CJ and the least close to Harriet and Ginny (because of the large age gap).
While attending Serpent Prep Hazel was a part of the Shark Swim Team as well as two clubs—the competitive lifting club and the Croc Wrestling Club.
Hazel in her short time at Serpent Prep pulled a lot of pranks on the students at Dragon Hall before both schools were shut down.
Hazel, while raised by pirates, still has Auradon Kid tendencies—since, you know, she actually got to see Auradon and have all the stuff the Auradon Kids did.
While attending Serpent Prep, Hazel’s best classes were Accelerated Piracy: Hostage Taking and Threatening, Pirate Ship Chartering and Navigating, Coin and Jewel Calculus, and Understanding Goblin Speech.
Her worst glasses while attending Serpent Prep, were Advanced Wickedness and
Under the Sea: Science Below the Surface.
Hazel cannot, for the life of her, draw.
Her best classes at Auradon Prep are Unabridged Fairy Tales from the Nineteen Regions, Mathematics, and The Mermaid Language Class. Her worst classes were Smiling, Safety Rules for the Internet, and History of Woodsmen and Pirates.
Before you say anything about that last one, need I remind you that Tinkerbell is the one teaching that class? Of course Hazel is failing History of Woodsmen and Pirates.
She’s passing Remedial Goodness 101 but doesn’t really understand why it’s necessary. It seems pretty obvious to her (and no she doesn’t understand why Cj laughs when this is brought up).
Hazel can usually be found doing her homework in Uma’s office after school.
This is because, unless there’s a reason why Uma and her crew are unavailable, Hazel usually eats dinner with the Lost Revenge Crew.
The new members of Uma’s crew seen in Rise of Red are all around Hazel’s age.
Hazel is a bit of a clean freak.
She’s been to Neverland a couple of times but doesn’t really make a habit of visiting because she finds Peter annoying.
Hazel wants to explore the universe.
Hazel has a ship called‘The Crimson Ghost' and she has her own crewmates.
Hazel is an Auratuber and her channel is just the same as her name.

Her favorite candy is dwarf gems.
After transferring to Auradon Prep, Hazel joined the drama club and was the lead in ‘Shipwrecked’. She also joined R.O.A.R, School Newspaper, and Gizmo and Gadgets.
If she had time she'd also be in archery and tourney.
Hazel’s safe place is Hook's Bay. She sneaks away there whenever things get too tough at Auradon Prep for her.
Her favorite foods are mussels à la marinière, crab cakes, and fried shrimp shells.
Her favorite desserts are pear tarts and blueberry muffins.
Her favorite drinks are seaweed soda, anchovy smoothies, and orange juice.
Her favorite games are Crown of Duty (Video Game), Doomball (Sport Probably), Foul Ball (Sport), and Sea Beast (Arcade Game).
Hazel has been assigned to room 10 with Pink Hearts: it's one of the bigger rooms. Eventually when it's found out the two of them are dating, Pink is moved to another room and Hazel gets a new roommate. I'm not sure who that roommate is yet but I'll edit this when I am.
Her favorite bands are The Bad Apples, The Dragon Slayers, and The Sorcerers Apprentices.
Her favorite songs are Once Upon A Dream, Into The Unknown, Fairytale Fail, Slay The Beast, Where r u Peter Pan, and want you (dead).

She absolutely cannot stand the show ‘The Prince Is Right’. She thinks it’s tacky and that no, the prince is most certainly NOT right. What are you talking about? Why are you taking advice from someone with no fashion sense?
Hazel hates fishing.
Her lips chap easily and Auradon laundry detergent always gives her rashes so she has to hand wash them.
She has the power of being the younger sibling on her side—one the downside, she has the weakness of being the youngest sibling on her side: meaning her siblings all have the power to boss her around.
Sure, she doesn't listen to them every time but they still have some power over her.

Hazel's hobbies include croc wrestling, swimming, shark training, model building, singing sea shanties, dancing, playing chess, reading, gaming, card games, working out, parkour (even though she's bad at it), graffiti, weight lifting, whittling, candle making, bottle ships, playing sports, darts, writing, knot tying, and astronomy.
Hazel has a missing tooth and a long, thin scar across her face that she received in a sword fight against Squirmy Smee. She also has calluses on her hands from working at her dad and uncle’s shops, and her different family members’ ships. As well as a couple of scars from croc wrestling and shark swimming.
She also has a lip piercing, a nose piercing, and ear piercings as well.
She and the youngest of Tick-Tock’s children, Clicker, have this strange little frenemy relationship—meaning they never seriously harm her.
When Hazel is legally allowed to, she plans to get the following tattoos: a crocodile, a shark, an anchor with a pirate hat, and a skull with a dagger in it.
Her favorite flowers are Hooker’s Lips, Dancing Girls, and Corpse Flower.
She had a model of her dream ship in her room—one Harry helped her make when she was little. It had red wood with a black sail with a Crimson Ghost on it.
