Plays with a loose thread on Bee's uniform shirt. She was tempted to tug it free and possibly unravel more in the process, but she knew how fussy the other could be about her clothes. "Can I at least buy you some casual clothes? You can't always be in uniform- what if I spill food on you?"

Does Rose really have to fuss with the loose thread? Bad enough that it’s there, let alone if she tugs it free even more.

Wait. Casual clothes? “Why do I need casual clothes? The uniform is comfortable enough. ... and I can get it dry-cleaned if you do spill food.” More like when Rose spilled food, but that didn’t need to be mentioned.
