Ford isn’t a shy lover... he’s a romantic lover. He probably won’t notice you leaning in for a kiss, and scamper away to the next mystery, but it was all because he was preparing a sweet candlelit dinner in the moonlit part of the forest. He’s a weird guy, but a sweet one too.

Oh, definitely! While he can be a bit scatter brained, especially when he’s in the middle of something, he does take moments to pause and plan something sweet like that. If questioned about some of the things he grabs and brings home, he might toss an ‘oh, it’s for an experiment’ excuse, and it would fly because he is an odd one. But he’s really stowing things away for a surprise later on.

While it seems like he’s very work oriented, he does do little things to show he cares. Having a meal together, giving kisses hello/goodbye, preparing things just for you, making handwritten letters/notes, and when he’s out at sea, taking time to do a skype call or something similar. Even if it’s just sitting in silence, it’s enough for him.

Of course his train of thought can be easily derailed with a sudden kiss, a hug, lacing fingers with his. He can prepare in confidence but he can still get into a flustered mess.

Also! This makes me think of a fic @rosenth0rne wrote for me a few years ago, with a romantic outing on the lake.

Okay, let me explain. Ten years ago, me and my platonic soulmates @siro-cyll and @meggo-b came together through our love of Invader Zim as well as other shows. Now that Enter the Florpus has dropped, we have been revisiting our beginnings:

Roan, shown previously from a post that I made with a photo dating back to June of 2012, was my Irk-sona (Irken-sona? Meh) who was trying to adapt after being stranded on earth for 60+ years.

The little Irken was originally named ‘Sin’ (Now Zinnia) before being repurposed for a bigger project later on. Due to Enter the Florpus, she was yeeted back into the IZ universe as her Irken self for a brief period. Poor thing suffered from narcolepsy back then and would pass out on Zim at random times during missions.

The next one... well, let’s just say we tend to try to kill each other with personal drawings and writings that rarely see the light of day. My friends have always known I adored Membrane and Enter the Florpus did not help things. This was pretty much Siro-Cyl attempting to murder me by inserting myself into the IZ style with Membrane. We’re huge pro-self-shippers and like to extend our support to those who want to self-ship themselves with fictional characters.

The last one is just a blindsided attempt that actually got me. I’m a vengeful, homicidal spirit as of writing this. I will have my revenge. I know your weakness. AS IF HIS ROBOT ARMS WEREN’T ENOUGH, T! He looks good in their style though...

These were all drawn by Siro-cyl and I was given permission to upload these since I seem to be sinking faster back into the fandom than they are. (I’ll bring you down with me if it’s the last thing I do, T...)

Pfft, the word 'squid' alone makes me laugh but knowing Ichimatsu goes one step further with acting it out makes it so much better XD There are a few things in this world that don't get tiresome after a couple of hundred times but that (and the reverberated fart post) will never get old XD

The Buzz Cut

This is a collab between @rosenth0rne and me with my trans Ford headcanon! I drew everything and had the basic idea, she came up with the script and extra scenes.

This takes place the winter/early spring before the flashback in both Lost Legends and A Tale of Two Stans. Ford does not realize he’s trans just yet, but he’s had this desire to cut off a lot of his hair for a while.... 

No pronouns or names are used other than ‘Sixer’ for him. This’ll act as the first spark that maybe he isn’t what he thought he was.
