So, today’s episode came out - Rosiebell is being retired along with the rest of the Shamrocks. Just to put everyone’s minds at ease: I am not going anywhere as a VA! Rosie is just being retired as a character lorewise, as in she won’t have a focus in the lore anymore.

That being said, allow me to give you all what I call my Rosie Ramble™️.

Rosiebell was my quote/unquote “big break” in the TSBS series. I’ve always joked that she’s my baby because of this; all of my characters are very special to me for their own reasons, but Rosiebell is very special to me because she’s my first major character and my first bigger piece of TSBS history. I had been a fan of the show since the literal start before becoming a VA/BA for it, so she was a really big deal to me.

Last year around June/July, I was looking to leave my job at the time and I was also going through some heavy stuff that I’m not gonna talk about here, but it led me to asking Davis and Reed if I could potentially work towards having a more permanent role on their team as I had already been a body actor for them for a couple of months at that time with an itty bitty bit of voice experience too. The both of them agreed and this led to Davis approaching me with the reference for Rosiebell, which at the time was her colorful outfit (reference made by Damien Candle). She didn’t have a name yet when Davis initially approached me but I absolutely fell in love with her at first sight; I knew I was going to give my all into her. Especially since I absolutely love clowns. Davis talked to me about ideas for her trajectory as a character which I won’t get into, and he and I went back and forth on names before Davis threw the name Rosiebell at me and it stuck. We recorded her first episodes shortly thereafter, and from then it was a silent waiting game for me until her debut on July 20th of 2025. Not going to lie, being patient was insanely hard for me. I was extremely excited and wanted to yap so much. Alas, I kept quiet and waited longingly.

When Rosiebell’s first episode debuted, I was actually by myself dancing at a goth club at some daytime party thing in London when my phone buzzed with the TSBS Discord ping saying the episode had uploaded. I let out a small gasp, immediately froze and stopped dancing then parked my happy self in a corner of the club as people continued to dance around me, and I watched the episode with my earbuds in while constantly refreshing the comments section as well as the TSAMS theories thread in the official Discord to see what people were saying. I didn’t actually get back up and dance again after that. I was glued to my seat in the corner for a good hour and a half before I ended up just going home haha. I was trembling with excitement and happy adrenaline. Rosiebell was alive at last.

I’m not going to lie, looking back on her now, I do really wish I pushed myself to have a little bit more confidence in her at first. I was a brand new baby VA back then and had jumped straight into having back-to-back episodes more centered around Rosie, so I had to learn how to improv quickly and also keep character. Rosie ended up being a little bit more shy/anxious than I would’ve liked her to be because of this, but I wouldn’t change her for the world. I wasn’t in charge of her writing and I do wish that some things had gone differently for her, but I did get to add my own little touches to her by making her heavily interested in music and dancing, because it was a nod to where I was when she first made her appearance to the public eye. I also asked if she could have a darker outfit first as a joke, but Davis agreed to it since it kinda fit with the way her arc was going at the time. It made me really happy.

Christmastime/New Years was where everything for her lore came to a head, and it’s since been decided that her story has been told. I am at peace with this decision. I got told this news a couple weeks ago and have watched so many people be excited that she had started to make some appearances again since then. It felt bittersweet knowing what I knew and not being able to say anything about it as I watched so many people theorize about her and ask for more screentime for her, but like I said, I am at peace with this decision. I’m sure we may see her in the background every once in a while, I can’t guarantee anything as again I am not in charge of any of the writing, but her story has been told and it’s time to let her be. I’m going to miss getting to play her but I’m putting my little goth clown on a mental shelf to admire what she means to me. She’s a symbol of a fresh start in this amazing new career I have as a VA and she’s a testament to myself that I have grown as a VA since initially getting to have her; I’ve been allowed to have big emotions on-screen and really exert myself in ways that made me have to really think. I’m really grateful that Davis and Reed gave me that initial chance to rise and shine and I am so grateful for every single fan, community member, and team member who has shown me and all of my voiced characters support with my shenanigans. I’ve gained lots of friends and lots of fun memories. I look forward to continuing to have fun with this chapter of my life and can’t wait to see what the future holds in this series. I’m going to be putting my full heart into my other current characters as well as any others in the future.

so I got this idea from a friend that when he saw Rosiebell he was reminded of nexus since they have similar colors and both betrayed him. Now I feel bad for Sun….
