@pichikui, so I haven't fully read the graphic novel just yet, but I did skim through some parts because I'm impatient and wanted to see the last quarter of it the most. XD I promise I will actually read the whole thing when I get the chance! I still have company over, so I'm technically not even supposed to be on here right now, but I had this image in my head last night and had to draw it. :]
Still, I love the art, and the story is great! So many moments got me snickering just from little comments the characters made, or even just exaggerated expression work; it's absolutely wonderful. lol Everyone seems so well in-character, too! I'm very impressed! It's got a better consistency than the series even had with these guys! Lol Again, wonderful work and I can't wait to actually go through the novel as a whole! :3
[I need help: the illustration I did looks familiar and it's bothering me. At first, I thought it might've been referencing 007, but I don't actually know, so if anyone knows what I might've just referenced, please tell me! This is going to drive me crazy!]

I did this in a doodly, simplified style and then rendered the background loosely. I'm leaving it unrefined, because I can only dedicate so much time to it, HA! I rewarded myself for doing taxes, but now I must go back to work.
This is kind of concept art for Maverick, River, and Jasper's history, back in their teens. Maverick and River would be about 15 years old here. Jasper would be about 18.
Alas, I suffer because it will be quite some time before all of them are introduced into the comic. Maverick will make his appearance earlier than his counterparts.
