Our appointment went really well! The new gynecologist is absolutely lovely. When I brought up the spot I think is cutaneous endometriosis, she immediately started talking about how endometriosis can occur anywhere. She's actually worked with patients who have cutaneous endometriosis before as well as working with someone who has it in her lungs. Her immediate acceptance of the possibility was such a relief.
She looked at the spot and said it definitely could be endometriosis but she can't tell at the moment because it's currently in it's smaller form, but based on my description of how it changes it's likely endometriosis.
After the exam, we were talking about treatment options and I finally managed to bring up being trans. I basically just said "another aspect to consider with treatment is that I'm trans and plan to transition when I move out of my parents." I was so nervous, but she was just like oh! So do you want a complete hysterectomy? I told her I've wanted that for years but was told I was too young and might change my mind. She was like no you know yourself and it's your choice to make. But yeah, she was super accepting.
After discussing treatment options for awhile, I decided to try a new medication that lowers estrogen levels but not as severely as lupron and it's a pill so I can stop taking it anytime if the side effects are too much.
So, yeah, it was a great appointment and I'm super relieved.
