Just a quick screenshot of one of my simmies in my Royal Kingdom World.
He is a royal servant and a robot. 🤖
(still not sure why screenshots from in game are so butt ugly quality lol. all my settings are as high as they can go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I’ve just gotta remember to press printscreen button rather than C. but old habits die hard!)
Here is a post that has been in my drafts since January. Yesterday was the first time in six months that I got bored enough to load up my game. I just haven't had the time or the desire to play. I played a different neighborhood instead, but since my internet seems to be working on my desktop at the moment, I'll see if I can write this update on my kingdom from my drafts.
Cecily and Lynette are the most twin-like twins I've had ever in my game. They're both pleasure sims, both started careers in dance, and gave birth to sons hours apart (even though their birth times fell on different seasons.)
So of course they both had to follow their wants of getting engaged at the same time. Ian and Rama both had other love interests (and possibly better ones) but the Lyndlia twins won out for now.
Rama had a few hearts to break as he tried to let down his former lovers gently.
He didn't count on Cecily's baby sister being among those he would have to reject.
He's not alone though, as Delilah is trying hard to find love in all the wrong places.
There are a lot of romantic misunderstandings that need to be sorted out.
Finally, the big day arrives for a double wedding. The guests arrive.
The wedding arches are set up and the ceremony beginnings. (I knew I wouldn't be able to time them exactly together, but the ceremonies were close to happening simultaneously.)
And both ceremonies were successful. Cecily basks in the applause following her nuptials with Rama
and heads to the audience to watch Lynette and Ian exchange their vows.
Later Ian helps his son, Irving, and his new nephew, Remington, enter the toddler stage.
Lindsay checks in on the carpet shop and her new employee. She needed more help and this teen townie most have been the best option at the time.
Benjamin is bored. Stuck in the apartment all day, I wonder if he misses his brief time living in the vampire apartments. Even in his own apartment his job seemed to keep him busy and out of trouble during daylight hours.
He needs to be kept out of trouble. I don’t think the neighbors’ apartment smells bad enough that you need to risk your life to complain about it.
Avril and Caryl still haven’t been able to keep the peace after their broken marriage and their son, Darryl is the one suffering because of it.
Caryl decides, for her son’s sake, things can’t go on this way.
She moves out and rents her own apartment for just the two of them.
Meanwhile, things are not going well for Avril. She loses her job.
She also starts to feel bad about how things were and she apologizes to Caryl for her terrible behavior.
Hopefully they can work on being civil for Darryl’s sake.
Later, Caryl makes peace by stopping by with a gift of a piano? (I’m not sure what date or outing prompted this, but that must have been some apology.)
Living with family does not afford young couple Leon and Brynn much privacy.
Now that Rebekah is gone, Darius takes charge of the produce market. It should be Brynn’s by inheritance, but she has a baby and her pregnant self to take care of at home for now.
Baby Lynn grows into a toddler.
And the family welcomes new baby Beckett.
Rebekah and Darius’ youngest child, Gavin, grows up.
He’s clearly looking forward to starting his adult life with his sweetheart, Roxanne.
At Marissa and Aldous’ apartment, baby Marcie has her toddler birthday.
Marissa is trying to get her sports themed business off the ground. She sells berries (perhaps promoting them as health food) to make money in the meantime.
She doesn’t start out with much, but eventually she has enough to add in a soccer net.
It feels like their lives together are just getting started, but Aldous and Marissa are already starting their elder years.
Maybe they are just late bloomers. Hopefully this last stage of life will be their best yet!
Summer, Year 8: Meanwhile in a Neighboring Kingdom
Kamala Langerak gives birth to a new baby named, Nalini.
The game is right when it says they grow up fast.
Rama is still dating around and I’m trying to get him to settle on someone, like Princess Cecily.
After I wrote this post and started the next season, I realized Rama and Olivia had mutual marriage wants towards each other.
I dropped by Rama’s lot briefly to have him propose, so that I could free up another space on the crystal ball.
But the engagement didn’t even last long enough for me to leave the lot. I’m guessing Rama is the one that called it off.
In the summer, Rama’s little sister, Indira, had a first kiss.
Meanwhile at the Mace household, Max Lewis and Evangeline King also have a first kiss.
Rex and Amy’s youngest children, Meg and Ren, reach toddlerhood. (I forget which is which.)
With Faith set to return home next season with her toddler and twin infants, there are going to be a lot of little ones to take care of in this household next season!
Now that Rae is a teenager, I’m sure she will have to lend a hand to help out.
At the tavern, brothers. Griffin and Clark, spend time with their dates. Clark wants to marry Kristina and Eleanor wants to marry Griffin, but so far these wants are just one sided.
I invite over a crowd of peasants to socialize. Things go wrong when Marianne moves in on Meadow’s man. Meadow is upset and goes after Vaughn, but Marianne is ready to get physical to fight for him.
I know I went overboard on summoning in sims when the tavern is so crowded that no one can move or interact and the game lags to a halt. (Oops.)
Clark: Hey, what about Eleanor?
Griffin: I’m exploring my options.
Griffin: You shouldn’t be so quick to tie yourself down, brother.
Clark: No, thanks. I know Kristina is the one for me.
And they ride off into the sunset.
Baby sister, Phoebe, becomes a teenager
and is already attracting the attention of boys.
(I really need to make a witches’ school or send all of my witches out on an outing or something.)
Corbin helps out his mother at the potion shoppe.
I shouldn’t have sent the employees home, since they can use more help, especially as Celeste makes more potions to stock on the shelves.
Back at home, Cassidy tries to cheat on her boyfriend, Jay, with her mother’s boyfriend, Drake. Drake turns her down, but Jay is still furious with her for trying to sleep with someone else.
Drake: Celeste, I do think you’re attractive, but I’m with your mother, so I think we should just be friends.
She’s smiling, but I don’t think she heard him.
Baby Casey grows up
and so does big sister Cordelia.
Who immediately tries to put the moves on Drake. He has three generations of women in this family lusting after him. Luckily, he has the good sense to turn down his girlfriend’s daughter and granddaughter.
Let’s try to find you someone more appropriate, Cordelia.
I forgot to take a picture, but Corbin started university from home this season. I will move him into the dorms at the beginning of the next season. He’s missing out on the social life, so I invite over Mia Lewis, who has a crush on, but she’s already engaged to someone else and turns down his advances. Oops.
At the King household, Evangeline helps her little brother, Edgar, with his homework while their parents are at work. His aspiration is low and he’s failing out of elementary school.
In the evening, she gets invited on an outing with a bunch of elderly folks and takes up gambling. Maybe it’s a form of community service, playing poker with the elderly.
I have a lot of sims living on the singles lot now (and I try to invite over other single lower class sims who still live on their home lots.) Sims that joined the household this round are Bennett, Isaac, Austin, Amanda Collin, and Kristina Guevara. Since there are so many sims living in this household I had to take advantage of the ability to create bunk beds again.
I did originally want this household to be about more than finding spouses. I also wanted my sims to be able to find nontraditional career paths, but I haven’t figured out how I want to do that yet.
Austin had a teenage romance with Claire, the papergirl, so I decided to age her up. She looks very sophisticated and business-like. I didn’t move her in, so she now delivers the paper dressed like this and I’m not used to it yet.
They have been dating, but I haven’t gotten them interested in making a commitment yet.
Speaking of not making a commitment. I knew I would have to be careful with Jonas, since one of his lovers, Amanda, is living here now. But I forgot that Andrea was in love with him when I invited her to visit. I guess that would be past tense was in love with him.
Isaac and Kay Laughlin have a first kiss.
Love is all around as Kristina smooches Clark Zaidi and a visiting Margo and Linus Farmer fall in love.
Sorry, Ross. It looks like Margo only has eyes for Linus now.
Ross has his sights set higher. He asks Princess Lila on a date. Of course, nothing should come of it, but I was hoping it would trigger Lila to have an engagement want toward Deven. No marriage type wants for either of these sims yet. They’re both just having a good time.
Jonas had better be careful. He’s surrounded by his love interests.
To keep the peace I have to send him out on the town for his dates.
Jonas freestyling for tips is always hilarious and awesome.
I’m not sure is Ava is pretending that she’s not with him or she’s feeling awkward about the teenager standing too closely behind her.
With so many sims dating on this lot, I have been getting a ton of invitations to go out to community lots. Sometimes a new invitation comes in while I’m still waiting on the taxi for the first date or outing. I have to turn some of them down since I don’t know what will happen if I accept multiple invitations at once.
This household also gets a lot of date gifts.
I put the gift items in the inventories of the person that the gift is meant for, but I have a large collection of date flowers that collected before I started doing that.
Clark: Oh, I see, you already had a telescope. Now you have a matching pair.
Then there are others who seem hopeless at dating, like Barry, who spends more time with his sister than anyone. I have a feeling it will only be worse when she actually moves in.
Bennett finds himself falling for Princess Willa, who is way out of his class.
With that wavy hair, he is really dashing though.
When they roll mutual engagement wants, how can I say no?
I was thinking I need a test to see if couples would be accepted by their families, like a headmaster visit, but the game went ahead and provided that for me
when Willa’s family invited Bennett on a timed outing to check out this new guy she is supposedly in love with.
I sent them to Fancey’s restaurant, because of tradition, but I realize that is a poor choice, because they barely get a chance to interact or finish their meals before time runs out. (Also, the restaurant is short staffed and I really need Chloe to hire a couple more employees.)
So we have Willa’s Aunt Delilah from her mother’s side, Uncle Garen from her father’s side, and Cousin Sheridan. Where are her parents?
Hey folks, we’re on a time crunch here. Your detour to the photobooth is not helping.
Willa: So, you see, we are both adults and capable of making our own decisions . . .
The outing was mediocre and it really wasn’t fair to make them eat first. (Maybe I should design a community lot specifically for these types of outings.
I decide to have Bennett chat with Willa’s parents to see if he can win them over.
And he’s 0/2. It’s not looking good for his future with Willa.
Meanwhile, back at home, Milo asks Princess Sheridan on a date. I was secretly hoping this would nudge her toward Brett, but no, she and Milo roll mutual engagement wants toward each other!
I don’t want to have too many marriages/engagements so far across classes, but when they are so cute together, what can I do? Sheridan and Willa are in different circumstances though. Willa is young and freshly out of university. Sheridan has been raising children (the oldest are nearly grown themselves) in the household she was set to inherit. Would they be willing to give up their birthrights for the men they love? I’m not sure yet myself what makes the most sense. Stay tuned.
James has the unusual want to counterfeit money, so I oblige.
His aspiration was pretty low, so I was expecting it to go wrong at any moment, but he kept at it for hours before the machine caught fire.
James and Rebecca were invited on an outing.
Everyone seems to enjoy the beach. I don’t think I have ever seen so many sims go swimming at once.
They enjoy a snack. I really need to go in and revamp this lot and add a boat that is actually on the ground, as I meant it to be.
I think with a few changes I could make this lot into a neat campground.
At the poorhouse, Damian proposes to Hazel autonomously, while I’m playing the neighbors, but it doesn’t last until I get to their household.
Their sons both age up this season. Dominic is a child
and Harold is a toddler.
Hazel gets struck by lightening.
She’s such a trooper that she doesn’t let that stop her from heading to work and getting a promotion.
The family has some very important visitors. I guess Princess Lila and Olivia are seeing how the other half lives.
All Julianna wants is to go on outings and dates and visit community lots. I didn’t want to have to set up a social group to have her go on an outing, so I had her invite Vernon over, so she could ask him to go downtown. I thought they could hold off on the romance until they were off the lot, but they did not. Sebastian was not pleased to see her getting close with another man. Susannah was brought along as an innocent bystander.
They head out to the beach for their outing and it’s no surprise when the outing turns into a date.
Julianna waits until Sebastian leaves for his night job to ask Rama on a date.
He leaves her multiple presents afterward. The plant makes sense
but the condiments are a little weird. I feel like Julianna is going out with people for the gifts that she sells for money.
Julianna got invited on an outing, but didn’t have a babysitter and by the time I called one, she missed the group. She still wanted to go to a community lot, so she ended up spending an evening at the beach with her daughter instead.
Julianna isn’t the only unfaithful one in this relationship. Sebastian sleeps with Amanda Collin, gets rejected for a date, becomes best friends with her, and then she decides she will give him a chance. I think Amanda is more hung up on Jonas, but Jonas has a lot of other options, so I don’t think she should put too much hope on him.
