This is how Jamie sees himself and Roy

Hello it’s me been a while since I’ve posted one of these so here’s a little snippet of a royjamie sex pollen fic I’m writing for Wip Wednesday.

Standing in the center of the meadow a shock of blue and red catches his attention and since he’s in no rush to leave he walks slowly over to it wanting to get a better look at the cluster of strange flowers, they’re unlike anything he’s ever seen before they almost look like they’re from another planet. They have beautiful, large red petals that curl towards their bright blue middle. He wonders what they must smell like would they be sweet and gentle or acidic in a way that would make your nose burn. He's so captivated by this interesting flower that he finds himself reaching out, his fingers delicately brushing over the underside of one of the petals, then his thumb brushes against the inside, its soft and plush under his fingertips. The petals feel like they shake under his gentle attention. As he pulls his hand away from the strange flower a plume of yellow powder erupts from its blue center hitting Jamie directly in the face, making him stumble back with a surprised yelp, rubbing at his burning eyes trying to clear them. It burns, making his eyes water as he continues to rub them. He’s suddenly tugged backwards roughly making him almost fall over, the only thing keeping him upright is the firm grip wrapped around his arms.

OKAY sad Jamie thought number one. Let's talk about his relationship with Roy. Looking at it either platonically or... as I like to do... romantically, they are soulmates.

Roy is the first person to see Jamie for more than what he can provide. He knows Jamie is good, he doesn't deny that, but he also knows that Jamie is a dick. Similar to how Roy was when he first started.

We know that Jamie inherently thinks about his worth in how he can serve other people. (When Keeley asks how he is at the end of season one, he responds with his stats at Man City, when he returns to Ted in season two he approaches him in terms how how he can serve the team, etc)

So Roy knowing and understanding that Jamie basis his self worth on the services he can provide and not wanting or needing that from Jamie allows Jamie to cling onto Roy as a positive outlook and deepens their relationship in season three

Hey actually I think you said “sad” not “emotionally devastating” like-

I love love love Jamie and Roy and you’re so right about how Jamie values himself based on what he can do for other people and god Roy really does understand him and I wish we had more time with them in season 2/3 where they didn’t hate each other because even though I loved their dynamic in season 1 and it was hilarious, I just love seeing Jamie being happy and comfortable with someone, like the whole bike scene??? The most scene ever, I love it so much

They are soulmates!!
