Happy anniversary to this fic. I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I posted the first three chapters. I didn’t think much of it, as it was supposed to be just something to look forward to doing each month; a little passion project to keep my mind busy. I only hoped that maybe a few people would read it. I never thought that SO mang of you would come to like and leave wonderful comments. I truly appreciate each and every single one of you :)

This is SOOOO much better; the official translation makes this scene so much more meaningful. The way this is written feels so intimately tied to themmmmm.

Not just to Obi, who is now fully realizing how important he is in Shirayuki’s life from hearing her own words and seeing her own actions in this science (after having that talk about this with Mitsuhide and Kiki last volume); but to Shirayuki too, who is willing to risk her new assignment for Obi to stay by her side. He promised he would follow her, and she is refusing to let them be separated.

Throughout her life, Shirayuki always tried to do everything on her own because she didn’t know how to rely on anyone else. Now that Obi has showed her time and time again that she didn't have to do everything alone, she’s starting to realize that accepting his support isn’t a sign of weakness, rather it’s an acknowledgment of his strength, his commitment, and his choice to stand with her.

Letting him stay at her side doesn't make her any less capable, it gives her something she never allowed herself before: someone to lean on. And in being that person for her, Obi finds his own place too. He becomes more grounded and more completely himself. They’ve become each other’s rock, each other’s home, each other’s strongest advocate.

They need to know just how crucial and how important they are in each other’s lives and this scene solidifies that.

They are just sooooo precious; ughhhhh, I love them sooooo so much🥹🥹

It's crazy to believe that we are already 15 chapters into this fic! I never thought I would writing again... I would never have gotten this far without each and every one of you🥹

Now that the school year is done and my classroom is all packed up, I’ll have a lot more time to write this summer; however, next month is going to be tremendously difficult for me. I will do my best to post by then🤞

We have officially reached 100k words in this fic; I genuinely can’t believe it. I honestly never thought I would writing again, let alone that many words… I would never have gotten this far without everyone’s encouragement, kindness, and continued support.
