Gladly.

The first time they meet outside of the costumes, it's at a library. Kara is there to read a book she saw recommendations for online, and Jason was just browsing. They were hostile towards each other until they realised it was a pure coincidence, then started talking about books.

Jason assumed that she was just this goody two shoes, Superman 2.0, and Kara assumed that Jason was an impulsive, aggressive idiot who didn't plan ahead and got himself killed. They talk about their general traumas and realise that they worked with completely false intel.

This causes Kara to HATE Bruce

Jason is sympathetic to Kara and her struggles, but he's the only one she talked to about her trauma that didn't look at her with pity

They exchange numbers and grow closer, but they choose to separate their alter egos from their civilian lives to avoid anybody snooping around or questioning Kara.

They mostly talk about books, with Kara being really into romance and history.

Once their relationship gets stronger and they know more about each other, they go out once a week to bitch about their mentors and eat ice cream.

Kara uses her flight to take Jason around the world to libraries and museums. He actually looks his age for once.

Jason gives Kara book recommendations, and they sometimes read in silence.

They find a deserted island and make it their safe space. They meet up there all the time.

When they finally work together, they make a terrifying duo. Jason is one of the best strategists in the world, and Kara is an indestructible genius. They become truly feared. Second gen World's Finest.

She finally convinces Jason to stop killing, and it only takes because it was her that asked, and she asked it so Jason could heal instead of adhering to a moral code he doesn't agree with.

This doesn't make things better with Bruce. It actually makes them worse, somehow.

Jason doesn't care about the bats though so it's fine

Kara falls for Jason when she sees him battle the Untitled with the All Blades. His flaming swords and glowing tattoos made him look ethereal. Jason falls for Kara when a warehouse he's in blows up, and she rescues him. She glared at him with the flames surrounding her figuire, and it was like looking at an angel

When Kara realises she's into Jason, she goes on a long mission with the JL to sort out her feelings

Jason comes to the realisation he's into Kara when Artemis points out that he's more depressed than usual since she left.

Naturally, he goes on an even longer mission in space with the outlaws.

Roy and Kori get accidentally married.

When they meet again things are awkward and tensions are high

The outlaws intervene since they've never seen Jason this happy.

They force them in a room together, and they end up kissing.

News of their relationship reaches the world when they get caught making out after an alien invasion.

Anybody who tries giving Jason a shovel talk gets glared at by 2 pissed off kryptonians, the Shim'tar of bana mighdall, the queen of Tamaran, and Arsenal

Oddly enough, Superman is very supportive of their relationship. They visit the Kent farm occasionally, and Jason charms the older Kents.

ROYKORI

So, I like them in the sense that both characters are kindhearted beings and good friends.

They have both gone through terrible things and come out of it, with a mentality of being better than what happened to them, they look for the good side of things, they try to understand and help others. Which I can see them relating to deeply. But going more into the characters' psyche, they would actually make a great pairing.

From the beginning, Roy treats Kori as someone who is much more than an infantilized alien who does not understand anything about humans, a mistake that others make multiple times. He does not treat her like an ignorant, a child who is just learning or who throws aggressive tantrums, which other members do. (which makes Kori get used to overexplain herself like in the panels above).

Roy takes her seriously her and her powers, doesn't understimate at all her potential. He is the kind of guy to talk about things (when actually notices something is wrong or upsetting somebody) Thing that has been a problem for Kori, since she tends to help the rest but not express herself as much as she feels)

Both are pretty open to love and show affection to people , both are pretty emotional ,both have a good amount of sexual drive (Not that this is crucial to me, but realistically speaking the sexual drive is another factor to take into account in a relationship) , both have known eachother and been good friends for a long time and are willing to talk thing wherever they're having a hard moment.

As a plus , they're the ones to call up Dick when he is being too much like the bad part of Batman.

Now , I'm not saying they should be together, but it's actually a nice "ship" if the writers ever decide to pair them up together, especially considering that in the actual continuity they did dated.

Taking Lobdell out of this mix this time, of course.

Heya! Random Roy Harper question: what do you think the dynamics of a Roy x Koriand'r relationship would be?

Full disclosure: I only really enjoy this couple when Dick is also a part of it. Joyfire can be fun sometimes too, but I feel these two being in a relationship works best when Dick is also in it THAT SAID I’m not going to make this a Dick x Roy x Kory post dskjfhkahkjdha

I think the fanon version of Roy x Kory is like... their relationship is two extroverts who are goofy and always dtf, constantly flirting and messing around, meeting up and having this casual relationship. But in canon, I would say it’s a little different. Or at least, pre-n52 canon.

Roy does flirt A LOT. Like I went looking for panels with these two and I found a few of them where he flirts with her and she ignores him or shuts him down, sometimes by playing back with him. Honestly Roy comes off like a creep in some, especially the older ones, but for the sake of this I’m gonna chalk that up to the time period and move on kdshfjsh

This isn’t a flirty moment really but it did make me laugh so I’m including it here!! (Outsiders)

So I think this kind of back and forth is a part of their relationship, where they can tease each other and mess around and have fun. I don’t think that’s their default setting, though. They’re definitely capable of having serious moments, and tbh I found more of those than ones that are flirty/funny.

This is a moment of them arguing, and I think it shows a few things: namely that that back and forth is not limited to lighter situations, and also that they’re equals! There’s no sense here that one has more power over the other. ALSO peep that height difference (Outsiders v3 #21)

Then there are these two moments from New Titans v1 #63 (not consecutive):

Kory: It’s dead! I couldn’t take the risk. I had to kill it.Roy: Don’t worry about it. It’s all right. Kory: I’m not worried. I’m just explaining.Roy: You don’t have to. Not to me.

Kory has to kill an alien and Roy comforts her about it twice. Unlike Dick and Donna, who are both very important to Roy and Kory, these two don’t think killing is never an option. It’s something they can bond over, but it’s also obvious that they both take this seriously. In general, both Kory and Roy are far more serious than I think fanon gives them credit for, but that’s a different post dskjfhkas

On a lighter note, Kory loves Lian and Roy obviously trusts her with his daughter

To summarize:- They flirt and act playful, teasing each other and joking around- They aren’t afraid to butt heads and don’t really have a power imbalance where one person has more power in the relationship (compare to with Jason, where he seems to be the In Charge one and Kory & Roy are equal but under him)- Something they connect with each other over is how they’re willing to kill where their friends are not- Roy can and will comfort Kory- Kory loves Lian!!!- two words: HEIGHT. DIFFERENCE.
