zari has suuuuuuuuch a hard time swallowing the concept of losing or failing or being Less Than to the point of active detriment (stubbornness in situations where she Literally has MORE THAN enough brain cells to understand she'd be best served by trying something else) and i think loss as Intentional Tool was very much taught to her by roz (who loses all the time on purpose) but also they didn't get Enough time with each other (on zari's end); it's not a tool she remembers often. she will perhaps Remember More once she grasps a few other concepts she's struggling with but right now she's still too miserable about Not Having Any Free Will Actually to even start thinking about 'being well-adjusted'
