Some of the posts out there are making me seriously question my capacity. I'm seeing people writing about eating whole pizzas (plural), servings of pasta, AND drinks counted in litres. Here I am already uncomfortably stuffed if I manage to eat 3 slices of pizza in a single sitting--if there's a drink involved it's usually maybe 500mL or maybe 750mL 'cuz anything more than that means a lot less solid food is going to fit in my tummy.
Like...I went out with a couple of friends earlier today and we wound up at an Asian restaurant. One of the members of the friend-group had to be home for dinner so she was asking around to see who would split a combo-deal with her. I took her up on that 'cuz my stomach's been feeling a bit upset lately and I didn’t want to have it become extremely upset while out with friends. There was one item on the menu that allowed you to order a half-portion of Udon and a half portion of fried noodles--kind of a sampler item on the menu rather than having you commit to a full "bento box" lunch or something (fusion restaurant--had "Japanese" bento-style lunch combo sets as well as "Chinese" style offerings like fried "Ho Fan" or "Soy Sauce Fried Thin Noodles" or whatever). Friend wanted the Udon and I prefer fried noodles anyway so we got that. The portions were relatively small in this way--with the fried noodles coming on a little 5x5 inch plate or so. Basically had a serving of noodles only slightly bigger than my palm. I didn't expect the small serving to fill me up...but that was two hours ago and my stomach still feels full. The little ache in my belly isn't necessarily a "stretched-around-too-much-food" ache and more a "food too oily" ache...but I still feel full...like my stomach is maybe 85% full of solids and/or liquids.
I've been rubbing my belly for the last 20 minutes and I swear, I can literally feel the noodles churning around inside of my stomach. My stomach's actually kind of firm under my hands as I write this--firmer than it was before we got to the restaurant (I was actually pretty hungry going to the restaurant, having gone maybe 7 hours since eating a muffin for breakfast?). So...yeah, my stomach-organ definitely got filled up with food and the results are tangible.
Not sure if this will inspire anyone, but send me your best responses. Also...I'm genuinely curious about what people think about this capacity.
