Limerence Academy (Platonic Yandere School) - Part 2
hello sweetlings <3 sorry for a bit of a long wait! i honestly have no idea where the plot is going lmao, i just write words and the plot makes itself-- i feel like i do wayyy too much when it comes to harems because there's 4 characters already but i'm planning to introduce 6+ more 😭 am i doing too much??
anyways, this series of mine was so self indulgent, i really wasn't expecting so many of you to like it, so thank you so much for all the love and patience :) i made a little poll to vote for your favorite character so far, so please answer it here if you want to!
it'd be helpful if you let me know your thoughts about the plot or characters in the comments, tags, or asks, so i have some ideas of how to continue the story or add depth to the characters! i'd also love to write specific scenario, requests, or HCs for limerence if you have any <3

You woke up from your nap groggily.
How was it dinner time already?
You supposed you have been rather sleep deprived, but you really didn't expect to sleep for 5 hours straight in the middle of the day.
You yawn, rubbing your eyes as your stomach grumbles. Gosh, you hope the food here is good.
You were excited to be away from your hometown, but you also missed your comfort food.
You roll out of bed begrudgingly, straightening your clothes before putting on your shoes again. You hoped that there was an empty table at the cafeteria.
You open your dorm door only to slam it into someone’s face.
“Owww…” the man whines.
You blink in surprise before frantically reaching out to help him. His nose was bleeding.
“OhmygoshImsosorry!” you start, grabbing the closest thing you could find to help. You cursed yourself for not unpacking earlier and grabbing your napkins. Instead, you pressed a towel into his nose for him.
“Wait, Jacob?” you recognize him, his fluffy hair recognizable from anywhere, even with half his face covered with a towel.
“Tis me!” Jacob grins, voice muffled from squeezing his nose. “Was gonna bring you to the cafeteria.”
Oh. That was sweet of him before you slammed the door in his face.
Who told him to stand so close to the door anyway?!
“So, do you always open doors that hard?” Jacob laughs. “We’ll have to work on that bud. Don’t want you causing property damage now.”
“It wasn’t that hard…” you try to find an excuse. “The doors are just heavy.”
“Allow me to be your personal door opener then!” Jacob jumps on the opportunity.
“Yeah, no thanks dude.” you turn him down teasingly. “Has it stopped bleeding?”
“Just about, yeah.” Jacob nods. “You hungry?”
“Not really.” you shrug before your stomach growls loudly.
“Sure,” he teases you, moving the towel from his face. “Come on, I’ll show you to the cafeteria.”
You try to take your towel back but he keeps it out of your reach.
“I’ll buy you a new one,” he winks before tossing the dirty towel in his dorm room.
How funny. It was right across from yours.
….
The cafeteria isn’t as busy as you thought it would be. For such a big school, the students all supposedly ate whenever they wanted to. There was always food available.
Limerence also doubled as a farm since more than half the island was dedicated to free range animals and produce. It was kind of like its own self sufficient world if you thought about it.
The economy stayed stable with just its residents and the Academy, the food was all accounted for, there were a ton of eccentric people here, and there was no shortage of jobs. Limerence really was just an odd little secluded place.
It’d be a nice life though, you thought. Away from the pressure of normal society, you could study whatever you wanted at the academy. Plus, even if you quit academics, there was so much nature around that you’d never get bored.
Then again, it was secluded and to live there would be to isolate yourself from the rest of the world.
“What’re you thinking so hard about, hm?” Jacob asks, leading you to the dinner line.
“Oh… nothing,” you chuckle nervously, rubbing the back of your neck. “Just school.”
Jacob lets it slide, slinking a heavy arm around your shoulders. “It’s chill here, don’t worry about it.”
“I still haven’t picked my classes,” you admit. “Now that I think about it, they’re probably all filled up.”
“Ooh tough luck there,” Jacob winces. “Worst comes to worst you can tag along with me to my classes!” he grins, “I’m sure the professors will give you credit as long as you’re consistent.”
“I don’t want to depend on you,” you sigh. “And I don’t think taking journalism classes would help me much honestly. I want to get done with General Ed first… I don’t know what pathway I want to go in.”
“You can depend on me.” Jacob sounds insistent now. “You can always depend on me. It’s never too much. Think of me like your older brother! Plus, I'm also taking some gen ed this semester~”
“Sure,” you muster a small smile. “Thanks Jacob.”
He was so insistent. It was nice that you weren’t alone here, but it was also odd that he was so friendly with an outsider.
“Don’t you have friends?” you blurt out your thoughts, immediately slapping a hand over your mouth.
“Sorry that was rude.” you mutter awkwardly.
Jacob just laughs. “It’s fine! It’s simply part of my job to keep you company. I told you before, right? I’m part of the student welcoming club!”
Gods you were relieved Jacob was so nice, but you felt horrible. You threw your bag at him, slammed a door in his face, and then asked a mean question, all in the first day of meeting him.
To make it worse, he was so kind about everything and he was still keeping you company.
You were the one without friends, not him.
“You’re probably bored of me, hm?” Jacob teases happily, “I really don’t want to share you, but I suppose I can introduce you to my roommate.”
You both grab lunch trays and food before he drags you to a table, a boy already sitting there.
Oh. It was that timid boy you met earlier.
What was it? Bee? Bou? Bam?
“[Name], this is Beau!” Jacob beats you to it, setting his tray between you and Beau.
“Oh, we met earlier…” you smiles politely. “Hi again.”
“H-hi,” Beau nervously adverts his eyes from yours as he suddenly forgot how to use a fork.
“He’s not usually this anxious,” Jacob chuckles. “Come on, at least greet them properly.”
Jacob’s smile is strained now, like a snake coiled up and ready to strike directly at Beau. You can practically feel the tension in the air.
“[Name] is my friend. We’re simply joining you for lunch because you were sitting alone and it’s my moral responsibility to make sure my roommate is settling in well!”
Wow, okay. That’s a total switch up from how he was with you. Jacob lied so easily. The only reason why you both were here was because you said something rude to him.
You feel really bad now. Beau was just a first-year like you and someone as nice as Jacob was already picking on him.
“Ah um Beau is my friend too...” you can’t help but interject kindly, feeling guilty towards the nervous boy. “We were- we were talking earlier about taking the same classes.”
Great, now you were lying too.
Beau finally glances at you, a confused tilt to his head before it clicks. “We- we were!” he exclaims. “We’re gonna take calculus and chemistry together…”
Oh dear heavens above… you were not planning to take calculus and chemistry during your first semester at all. You're digging your own grave. You want to just drop out and go back home already.
“Ah I… I haven’t signed up for anything yet, so it might be filled up already.” you struggle through finding an excuse. “Plus, I haven’t met with a counselor.”
“We can sign up right now!” Beau says with a newfound enthusiasm. “They’re not filled up, trust me.”
Well, shoot.
You end up begrudgingly handing over your phone, watching in horror as Beau signs you up for calculus and chemistry before Jacob steals it and signs you up for god knows what else.
Great. One day in and you’ve already gone and messed everything up. Great job [Name]. Now you’re gonna fail and disappoint your entire bloodline.
Jacob’s loud voice and Beau’s stammering comments drown in the background as you chew on dinner, lost in your thoughts yet again.
Huh, the food wasn’t half bad, actually. It was probably even better than the food you ate at home. It was certainly the best of all cafeteria food ever.
After dinner, Beau and Jacob walk you to your room. Their dorm was right across from yours, after all.
Honestly, you were scared you weren’t going to be able to make any friends at all, but now you’re a bit disappointed that you made friends so fast.
You just couldn’t get a good read on Jacob and Beau. You were a smart cookie, even if you didn’t think so yourself. You knew better than to hang around the wrong crowd and to analyze people well before trusting them.
But you really couldn't tell whether Jacob and Beau were part of the "right" crowd or not.
Jacob was charming, kind, and practically radiant. He seemed like the typical student to be everyone’s favorite. He was also very nice to you, and almost a little bit too friendly… Then, he seemed to treat Beau, his own roommate, completely differently. He’s condescending and honestly, a bit manipulative. You're not sure if it's because Beau is already an annoying roommate or if they have their own issues.
Beau, on the other hand, seemed like a sweet, shy boy through and through. There honestly wasn't much you could say about him. You just had this weird gut feeling about him. You couldn’t pinpoint it at all. He was anxious all the time (at least in front of you), but you felt like there was something more under all those nerves.
You sigh, flopping on your bed and covering your face with your pillow. You were already overthinking and stressing before classes even started.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
What the hell was that?
Life just couldn’t give you a break.
Was your dorm room haunted?
Now didn’t seem like a good time to not have a roommate anymore…
You hesitantly peak from behind your pillow, the darkness suddenly much more suffocating than before.
You glance at your closet, then scan around the room.
Nothing.
Maybe you were hearing things?
I mean, you were still tired from-
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Okay. You were not hearing things.
You contemplated either going to sleep and pretending you didn’t hear anything (with the risk of getting murdered in the middle of the night) or investigating further and finding out whatever ghost was screwing around with you right now.
You take a breath, glancing around your room one more time before–
The Ring girl is literally hanging outside your window.
Holy mother of gods what are you supposed to do?
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Okay, disregard everything bad you ever said about Jacob and Beau, there’s about to be a sleepover tonight because you’re sure as hell not going to sleep in your room.
You’re about to run out of your dorm before the girl gathers her hair behind her, revealing her face.
Her skin was pale, yeah, but she actually had rosy cheeks, big black eyes, and a toothy grin, revealing pearly whites.
So, the question of why the Ring girl ghost is outside your window is gone now. It’s been changed to: "Why is there a random girl hanging outside your 3rd-story window?"
She waves, tapping on the glass again and gesturing for you to open it up.
You contemplate getting someone else involved, but then you remember that this is the 3rd floor, and a sense of urgency compels you towards the window.
What if she was stuck? Or if she fell?
You open the window, surprised when she tumbled on top of you.
“Oh I’m sorry love,” she says, “Didn’t mean to hurt you.”
She sounded much more mature than you thought she would.
You shake off the “it’s okay” from your head. You were trying to grow more confidence in not being okay with things.
“What were you doing outside my window?” you ask instead.
“I thought you’d be asleep by now,” she hums softly, a strange tone to her voice. “I didn’t mean for you to see me.”
As you piece her words together she ends up adding onto her story.
“I mean, I didn’t mean for anyone to see me at all, really. I do a lot of rock climbing, so I like to scale the academy walls when everyone’s asleep.”
You’re so tired, the bizarreness just checks out to you.
“Sure, okay. Maybe you should go now.” you mumble, getting up from the floor.
“But I just got here! To see you!” she catches herself again, biting her lip. “To see the moon! I was lonely and looking for someone to talk with…”
Right, okay. Now you feel kinda bad. “Um, what’s your name?”
“Ruby!” she says happily. “And you’re [Name]!”
You absolutely cannot ignore this now.
“How do you know my name?” you look at her, suspicious.
She looks around your room for a nervous second. “I- I saw it from the window. Right there.” She points to your unpacked boxes, your name written in big black permanent marker all over them.
Well, that made sense. You feel stupid now for doubting her.
“You haven’t unpacked yet?” she asks, “You know what, because I bothered you so late at night, I’m gonna help you unpack!”
“It’s alright, really,” you say, “I’ll do it tomorrow on my own.”
Your social battery was really drained, honestly. Another interaction and you’d combust.
Ruby only looks more determined than before.
“Aw you must be tired darling,” she frets. “New plan! I tuck you in and unpack for you.”
“I really would rather you not touch my things,” you mutter, already getting exasperated.
“Don’t worry about it,” she says. “I’ll take care of it... I’ll take care of you.”
She takes you by the hand, guiding you to bed.
You want to fight, but something about her relaxes you and makes you want to listen.
You can’t help but drift off to sleep as you watch her happily open up your boxes, rambling on and on about… you?
“Oh and you’re just so cute and I knew right when I saw you that you were the one! I mean I waited sooo long too and I just can’t believe it honestly. Awh wait, you have a stuffed animal? You’re even cuter than I thought! Your clothes are soooo adorable, ugh I can’t!”
The content of her words drift over your head like counting sheep, you think she’ll never shut up as your eyes shut instead.
...
You wake up to an organized room, your things neatly put in their proper places and your moving boxes conveniently missing.
So, it wasn’t a dream after all.
A crazy girl really did force her way into your dorm room in the middle of the night and unpack for you.
None of your valuables were even missing. In fact, your pricey necklace laid on your bedside table, ready to be worn. Actually, a whole freaking outfit was folded there.
Did she just pick out your literal clothes for today?
You blink in surprise laying the pieces out on your bed.
It wasn’t a bad outfit by any means… just not how you’d usually style your clothes. It was a bit childish honestly.
Still, she did clean your dorm for you.
You decide you should take the weirdness with stride and be grateful for her help and efforts by wearing the clothes.
It wasn’t like you were going out or anything either. It was Sunday, so classes started tomorrow. With unpacking out of the way, you decided you should probably prep for the unexpected classes you ended up taking… But you didn’t want to stay in your dorm, because Jacob or Beau would probably come bother you.
You wondered if there were any quiet places you could stay at other than the library. You honestly didn’t know your way around that well. You kind of sucked at directions and you didn’t know a lot of people.
Aha! There was always Ms. Aurelius. She did say that she could help you yesterday…
You quickly pull on your clothes, the convenience of it being pre-picked actually pleasant as you head out of your dorm and to her office.
You knock when you arrive.
“Come in.” she says, professional and sleek.
You walk in shyly, a bit embarrassed now that you were asking for help for something so simple from the Chancellor.
“Oh, sweetness,” her voice seems to melt when she sees you, “What brings you here?”
“Good morning Ms. Aurelius. I was just wondering if there were any quiet and secluded places to study?” you ask politely.
She taps on her chin, thinking for a minute before nodding. “I know the perfect place for you. Why don’t you work in here with me? No one ever comes to my office, and I won’t disturb you,” she smiles warmly.
Unsure of how you’re supposed to reject the Chancellor of the academy, you only nod in agreement.
“Thank you so much, Ms. Aurelius,” you bow a little. “I won’t be a bother, I swear.”
“You’re so formal with me,” she only sighs, sounding disappointed. “That’s alright, we’ll work on it.”
You don’t know how to respond, so you quietly take out your journal and perch yourself on the furthest seat to her desk.
She doesn’t seem to push you further.
You both shared a simple lunch together (she had it delivered), and she left you to your own devices as she scanned over paperwork. She was extremely busy because the semester just began.
You felt a bit guilty for intruding on her space, but she really didn’t seem to mind. The sun seems to set quickly and you decide to leave after another simple meal together for dinner.
“I appreciate everything Ms. Aurelius, ma'am. You’ve been so kind, I’m very grateful. Thank you so much for the food and for the company and for allowing me to study in your office. I won’t cause any trouble.” you try your best to express your gratitude. Thanks to her, you avoided so much social interaction and were allowed to recharge.
Being around her didn’t drain you, honestly. She was a quiet presence, comforting and calming.
“Of course dearest, that’s simply my job,” she says sweetly, “Any mother would do the same.”
You’re not quite sure how to respond to that except to thank her one last time and leave.
It wasn’t weird, you tried to convince yourself. She probably was just maternal to all the students that attended Limerence…
You walk to your dorm, the path clear of any other students. It was almost curfew after all.
You round the corner to your hall before you’re met with two familiar voices.
“Where were you?!”
“...Studying,” you answer meekly at the shouts of the two boys. You didn’t even think Beau could yell before.
Jacob looked frazzled, his usual put together look now frantic. Beau, on the other hand, looked much less anxious and much, much more upset.
It was almost like they switched personalities. You would’ve laughed if you weren’t so caught off guard.
“I looked everywhere! What do you mean you were studying? You didn’t even come to lunch or dinner at the cafeteria…” Jacob interrogates you.
“I was just at the library, but I alternated between studying there and at the courtyard. Maybe we just kept missing each other at the wrong times,” you shrug softly.
Beau doesn’t say anything, but he does look very closely at you. It even makes you a bit nervous.
“Sorry, but I’m tired,” you yawn. “I’ll see you both in class tomorrow.”
You take the easiest escape, slipping into your dorm.
“Good night you two.” you mutter before you shut the door and lock it.
“Good night [Name]...”
“Sweet dreams bud.”
You were not looking forward to the first official day of classes tomorrow.
Between the difficult classes you didn’t want to sign up for and the new weird friends… you just hoped your professors were nice.
