Connie Howlite Maheswaran AU - Jasper’s first meeting with Howlite

Jasper’s lifestory differed from canon in the moment she emerged from her hole.

She was unable to get too attached to Pink Diamond before White Diamond’s shattering and the end of the War, and she was left behind during evacuation. The reason why she wasn’t corrupted was because she had to hide deep on her origin hole and close her eyes.

At first, after the Corruption Light, Jasper decided to lay down and wait on the Beta Kindergarten, threatening to beat any trespassers and hoping Homeworld would get her out. ...But they never did, and so she began to wander around the world. Starting to carry a resentment over herself and her origins.

Her life changed when she reached the Ancient Rome and met the enemies of Homeworld: Howlite, the one who shattered White Diamond, her defective single-eyed Pearl, and the “war machine” Spessartite Garnet.

Jasper initially was hostile to them, as they were the blame for the shattering of Homeworld’s ultimate matriarch. The only thing that initially gave them a window of opportunity to work together was a begrudging respect from Jasper’s behalf, and a strange guilt from Howlite’s behalf.

It took a while after the first meeting, but after Jasper confessed that Homeworld was tiring her patience out in her wait for rescue, she began to listen more to Howlite’s teachings about Earth.

This is my human OC of my idea to continue the Steven Universe story, not by focusing on steven but multiple characters with his daughter as the main character   Anyway, Evelyn Russle. She is in her early 40s when the story starts and is only 5’2” in height. She was sadly an orphan a bit of her life and was taken in by some…pretty bad people who didn’t care about her mental health. This lead to her one day crashing her car with the intention of suicide while talking to an online friend… . That was behind her now. She’s now living her life with her biological father who knows she can take care of herself.

They moved to Beach City due to her father’s job takes them around the country. She however, recently moved to Beach City during the events of Diamond Days around LfHtH to Escapism where she finds the temple, talks with Greg, asks permission for taking a piece of Yellow’s arm ship home with her, and dissecting it to recreate the tech with human tech, making herself a sleeve of cloth that is a holographic computer with a fully interactive QWERTY keyboard and tap-screen.

Several years later, she finds a gem shard only to take it as a normal gemstone to add to her hobby of gemstone collecting. Several years later as she then moved to a town that Steven just so happened to be taking permanent residence in. A tall dark green gem approached her…and basically did the exact opposite of what Greg and Rose did to have Steven, forced and unwilling. This was Forest Green Diamond, a diamond from a second diamond authority with an exiled Black Diamond as their leader.

Back to Evelyn, she was now the mother of a human-gem hybrid who is the son of Forest Green Diamond (FGD for short).

Now in her early 40s, she finds the arm of the Schorl shard in her gemstone collection and just bludgeoned it until it poofed. Seeing the shard, She thought the arm was going after her gemstones, so she put the shard on her nightstand. Several nights later, she finds herself with the arm’s hand right in her face. The arm would then slowly inject its shard into her right eye and therefore, its entire being (censorship obviously due to it being a bit gruesome).

She then hides her new problems with a mask and a long sleeve and goes to Steven due to being friends with him to ask for help to her shock that he doesn’t know anything about her condition. She obviously has Schorl’s shard in her right eye, replacing her iris and pupil, but she also has a grey right arm, showing that Schorl has half of the control over that part of Evelyn’s body.

She would suddenly get sucked into her subconscious where the arm from the shard resides. She would obviously get scared over the arm but soon calm down seeing it’s no longer a threat. She would then ask yes/no questions like, “Do you understand what I say?” and, “Are you a gem?” These questions then lead her to know that the shard is looking for something and that one of these things was on the moon somehow.

She would soon come too in Steven’s guest bedroom and leave to tell Steven about the shard and that it’s looking for something that’s on the moon. The two would then take a ride on Lion to the abandoned moon base to go find the gem shard (which would be outside btw.) She would slowly insert it into her eye (less gruesome because her eye wouldn’t feel any pain to it.) and go back into her subconscious to see the arm grow to show the head of Schorl and his (yes, HIS) memories. He would tell her his name and origins up to the point that he gets shattered. Anything after that he can barely remember, due to not having a 100% complete memory and probably the fact that a gem can’t have memories after getting shattered.

As she come back from her slumber on the chair of the moon base, she would then tell Steven about Schorl and request that he helps her find the rest of Schorl’s shards. He accepts her request, and they would head to Beach City once Lion’s energy comes back. They go to Bismuth at Little Homeworld to get Evelyn a one handed battle axe to prep her for her journey ahead.
