PD: Yestarday, I put in the post "Day 11", that was a mistake, this is day 11, yesterday was the 10, LOL
Rule#14: It Takes 12 weeks to get a Perfect Body
Ok, it's summer time and I have to admit I have been on the sluggish side of things and have not been consistent with a workout. Well, it takes 12 straight long weeks to develop a perfect body or at least get to a figure you can appreciate. Remember, working out is like a job. In order to achieve the benefits you want like dental, health, tuition reimbursement you have to stick to the company for at least 90 days, or 12 weeks (3 months people!).
Anyways, developing a great workout routine to maintain for the rest of your life is good you, and for the soul. And also, just because your 12 week routine is up that doesn't mean stop working out. You have to keep doing it to maintain. All the years of soccer and boxing I have learned its hard to get in shape, but easy to maintain it once you are there. So for my fellow couch potatoes get up and do something now. Stick with it. Even when you stop working out everyday, as long as you work out every 2 days you can still be in shape. My college soccer coach told me that you lose fitness every 3 days so just make sure by that 3rd day your butt is on the treadmill and everything will be good.
