How not to prepare for a relay event
Or perhaps, more accurately, how to simply not prepare for it.
I'm doing the Virginia Growler Relay in the morning. 8 legs, of varying lengths, to be shared among me and 3 teammates. Out and back course, 50 miles total.
But I have no idea who on our team is running what legs, or how you're supposed to get to your next spot once your point-to-point leg is done. I hope somebody has figured out the logistics because I'm clueless and it's driving me nuts, as someone who normally prepares meticulously for a marathon.
Oh well, by sometime tomorrow afternoon I will have run 2 legs, totaling somewhere between 10-15 miles. I think. I guess the great mystery will be revealed tomorrow. At least the weather looks to be good.
