When the weather Gods are unkind, we choose Crank & Grind 😜 It might be boring to sit on the trainer at home but I never get sick of those indoor bike classes. They offer a different aspect to our training. Not only the FTP, power to weight ratio, wattage or constant cadence changes but they are also fun, different and very beneficial. We don't often do small & sharp efforts on the road but we do at @crankandgrindcycling which teaches us to handle accelerations and gets us to work on pure speed which we all lack off on the bike as Triathletes. The first hour was a GPC squad virtual bike race won by Matt L and the second hour was about speed work and accelerations followed by 5kms easy jog off the bike. Tomorrow, we will have a big crew racing the 10kms of Geelong Cross Country Club which will be a mass start and a good fitness test. We will also have Anthony N, Anhtu N, Jason Mc and Rod K running the @runmelbourne 1/2 marathon. Shane D will be tackling the 10kms in Melbourne.
