★ — running ;
starter for @rkseokjin !

she’s apprehensive, and rightfully so. what gave her the right to face her friend as though nothing had happened? dawon was attempting to jump ship, potentially leaving nova for a chance to debut under a different company entirely. she tells herself that she's running from the pain, distancing herself from the lingering feelings that were far too painful to live with; but that doesn’t make her any less selfish. if anything, she thinks that it just makes her that much more of a coward.
seokjin was easily dawon’s best friend at nova, perhaps even her best friend outside of the company as well. she doesn’t know why she’s so nervous about seeing him—their friendship could survive this, couldn’t it? she doesn’t suppose that she’d be able to blame him if he disagreed, though she prayed that he wouldn’t. things are going to be okay, she thinks to herself, though she doesn’t have much confidence in it being true.
“seokjin,” she softly called out to him, her gaze fixated on the ground in front of her. she wanted to look him in the eyes, but she lacked the courage to do so. “i’m... scared.” though ‘scared’ may have been an understatement. “everything about this scares me.” nothing about her future was certain, and that terrified her. “see?” she asked, an empty chuckle escaping her. “i told you that i wasn’t tough.”
